I must be either blind or I’m being locked within a dark room. I couldn’t hear or see; the darkness was thick and its murky substances overflowed my fingertips. Actually it was flowing and twisting at every corner. As if it was aware of my presence as if it were…alive. Everything was dead silent except the sound of my shallow breathing. I could feel something, besides the murky dark substances that there was another strange presence in the room. It was enveloping me with miserable despair; the unseen force gently began brushing me almost as If it were beckoning me to welcome it. The nearer this force came I began feeling my energy was being sucked dry. Drained. And every dark secret I kept within me started emerging, pulling and scarping from its surface. I never felt so miserable and sorrowful in my life. Sure, I had experience severe circumstances in my past childhood but I never knew how much I kept it locked in within me an till now.

It began weighing me down; I struggled and reached my arm out slowly, I felt as though the murky substance was siding with unseen force. I grunted and struggled with all my might. Suddenly a ghostly white light illuminated in front of me from a distance. That light started taking form of a figure starting from the waist down an till reaching the top of its head. I felt relieved as the figure was coming to rescue me. An till, suddenly I saw that figure was gripping a sharp object in his hand. My eyes widened and I realized he was holding a 6 inch blade.

Fear started taking its form in my chest and I shook my head side to side roughly “No, please no” hot tears was dribbling down my cheeks as I beg and I began sobbing. “Stay away, NO DON’T COME ANY CLOSURE!!” I screamed which burned my throat when I saw the figure lifting its leg taking a step further.

But my screams, sobbing and pleads didn’t stop the figure from taking another step. Inching closure and closure I squeezed my eyes shut and began praying. Unbelievingly the heavy dark substances weight started lifting and that feeling of despair started disappearing. The weight lifted off my chest and I slowly opened my eyes. “AHHHHH!!” the figure was only an inch close to my face. I could feel his hot desert like breath painfully fan my face as his dark hollow eyes stared right into me; piercing my soul.

I shook and trembled rapidly from those dark familiar, menacing eyes. The figure raised its arm high above his head ready to blow at me. I let out a shrill scream.

I felt my body shook and I thought I was having a seizure “Min, wakeup!” I reluctantly opened my eyes to see a worried Bong cha shaking me. I pulled myself from my soft duvet covers “Oh my god you had me worried sick!” I looked at her confused “What happened?” she stared at me for a moment surprised “You were screaming in your sleep Min” I let out a sigh of relief, It was just a dream thank god.

I gave her a weak smile “Sorry, I had a nightmare” she gently sat next to me and brushed my sweaty paste like hair behind my ear in a motherly gesture “Do you want to talk about it?” I smiled and shook my head “It’s fine, sorry if I woke you” her beautiful hazel eyes stared into mine comfortingly “It’s fine I woke up an hour ago; how about I make you breakfast” she showed me her bright smile and got off my comforter walking to the kitchen.

I followed after her and sat on the kitchen counter top as she began cooking. She spun around and gasped placing her hand on her chest “Seriously we have chairs for a reason” she said accusingly and I childishly grin hoping off the counter and sitting on my seat. She placed a delicious set of waffles stacked on top of each other poured with honey. I ate and she laughed “What?” I said with a mouthful of chopped up waffles “You still eat like a kid” I rolled my eyes playfully and began chomping my mouth in a disgustful manner mocking her. She shook her head disappointingly and we both erupted into a fit of childish giggles. I checked my watch and saw I should get going for work. I got up giving her a sloppy kiss on the cheek and she grimaced. “I got to get going” I pulled my coat on and grabbed my purse “Don’t miss me while I’m gone” she rolled her eyes “You wish” I giggled once again and opened my wooden door.
