first day of school

Kathy's Pov

I woke up to my alarm clock going off I shut it off then i get out of bed and I went to my walk in closet and I pick out my outfit for the day then I get in the shower when I step out the smell of moms famous blueberry muffins hits my nostrils I put on my clothes then I go downstairs two stairs at a time when I got down their everyone greets me and I do the same we all sit down and I looks at the empty chair.

that's where dad used to sit I instantly look away from the empty chair and look at my family my older brother and younger sister Alana and Michael he's in the army and me and Alana are still going to school she's my twin we might look alike but we like different things she has long blonde hair and green eyes like dad and I have short brown hair and crystal blue eyes like mom I don't mind that I really don't look like dad all that much.

I literally scarfed down my food then I got my backpack and me and Alana went to school once we get inside I see Danny at my locker smiling at me I smile back as i run and hug him "i missed you that was the longest weekend without you",i say as he chuckles "stop overreacting Kathy it was just one weekend without me but I'm not the only one that's back mr.ego is to he's right their charming the ladies" ,he says as he points at Daniel his brother I looks at him and roll my eyes.

"This can not be happening he's been gone a whole weekend and he's still mr.popular I guess everyone's in love with him that his social class can't go down" ,I say as I open my locker and get my things I turn around to face Danny and I see him smirking at me "is Kathy Griffin jealous you shouldn't be your a straight A student valedictorian and captain of the debate team if that's not popular I don't know what is don't get jealous of my idiot brother your the popular one",he says with honesty and sincerity I smile and nod "thanks Danny for everything your the greatest friend I could ever have your their for me when no one else is" ,I say as I nudge his arm playfully "don't go sappy on me now Griffin" ,he says as punch him in the arm "never" ,I say as I leave him to stand their in pain I sit down right as the bell starts ringing.

yes I'm safe from mr.Robins terror I'm causally placing my things on the desk when mr.Robins slams a detention slip on my desk I glare at him then I return to my work when Danny starts making funny faces I try to contain my laughter but in the end I get more detention but at least Danny will be with me when the hell rings we are the two to  head out first we go to our lockers which are next to each other I get my things for the next class then we walk to class hand in Abby's we sit down and mrs.goodson  glares at us she's hated us since we've had her class I don't even know why.

I'm so bored I hate this class the most so I write on a small piece of paper and I toss it to Danny he catches and reads and the whole class is filled with laughter which makes the ready of the class laugh even m me "settle down everyone" ,mrs.goodson says as she stares us all down until we're quiet I roll my eyes I guess she notices me when she screams "detention for you mrs.Griffin". I put my head down as everyone smiles and smirks at me this is the worst day do my life when it's time for lunch me and Sam sit at our usual table to the right of the popular kids so we can talk to Daniel when he wants to take to us at least when we were all little we used to be inseparable we had sleepovers like every night that was until we got into middle school and Daniel got popular and we didn't we were just known as his old friends that he rarely hangs out with anymore I let those thoughts slip away as I eat my food and glare at the popular kids Danny must have seen me glaring.

because he smiles at me "it's okay forget about him when it comes to his personality and popularity I forgot about it too at least we have each other and Alana there she is coming this way this is the new version of the three musketeers "he says as I nod and hug him "okay I will forget about it oh hey Alana and mitamds" ,I say as she sits down shocked "how did you know I was out of your view",she says as I is it look at her "I don't know maybe I just have good eyesight then most think about that" ,I say as we talk laugh and have fun until lunch is over then we got to class together we all have science together and that is the most boring class ever to be invented.

once we came in I gagged at the smell it smelled like something died and it did we are dissecting a frog today I totally forgot to study I'm a straight A student I don't think my grade will drop if I fail this I hope anyways we sit down as does everyone else and we start dissecting it once Danny opened it up so I seen the guts and organs I rushed to the bathroom and threw up this is all to much it's so overwhelming to see stuff like that I walked back to class and everyone was about finished I say next to Danny and he gave me a concerned look and so does Miranda "are you okay Kathy" they ask me I nod and smile at them "I'm fine it's just my stomach cant tolerate all this",I say gesturing to the frog once the bell rang I was the first out Danny and Miranda trailing behind me.

we stop at our lockers get our things then we head out we get in Danny's car then we stop at us I house we go in and Danny's mom is in the living room watching a reality show once she sees us she turns the tv off and rushes to us and hugs us "I missed you guys you never come over anymore Daniels upstairs" ,she said as she returns to the couch "were not here for him he never hangs out with us because he's to popular for us losers" ,I say as she gasp then it's so replaced with anger she walks to the edge of  the stairs and she does the most unbelievable thing "Daniel Nathan Latham get down here now",she shouts wow I didn't think she had it in her I also didn't know Nathan was his middle name I'm learning new things about this family every time I'm here I escape my thoughts when Daniel walks downstairs with only some pants on i look him up and down slowly he catches me staring and he smirks then he returns his attention to his mom "son why don't you hang out with them anymore their you friends not those other people that's unfair to them and you you guys were inseparable growing up what happened",she says sternly "I don't have time for this" ,and with that he walk back upstairs.

what a day we walk over to my house and we watch a movie play games until it starts thundering and raining then the power goes out so we light some candles and we eat mom's leftover muffins and pizza and we play board games until Michael comes to play with us Michael has been trying to spend as much time her him as he can because he going to be leaving soon this has been a great night I'm truly happy to have family and friends like them
