Foreword

Has it ever happened to you that, just when you think your life couldn't be better, someone arrives and make you feel like shit?

As if you've always thought your life was perfect, you had everything, you got everything you wanted whenever you wanted

But then it comes, someone that makes you realise you've been wrong, that maybe all that fills you up on the outside, actually makes you emptier on the inside.

I'm Alex, Alex Russo, soon to be twenty years old and I'm gay.

That's it, at least that's everything I knew about myself back then, before I ... well, you'll get to know the whole story. 

I work at the filthiest bar, exactly the one in the corner of the darkest street in town. 

And you may think, what are you doing there?

And maybe I would answer I do it to earn money

And then you'd bite back saying there are plenty of bars and restaurants I could work in

And then I would agree ...

However, I can assure you that, had I known my life would turn out the way it did because of working in there, I would do it again and again

And then you would ask why

And then I would say, welcome to my story
