Waking up next to Alex was the best part of the day. He'd always wrap his arm around my waist tighter, preventing me from getting away from him. I'd try to get out of his grip but, he'd always grab me tighter. He kissed my cheek and pulled me close. It's been 5 years of this, I've never once hated it. Marrying Alex was the best decision of my life, I dont regret saying 'yes' for one second, not even after huge fights that leave me crying.
"Mommy? Daddy? Im hungwy" I hear a little voice say, our daughter, Emily, shyly opens the door leading to our room. She's 2 and a half and the second love of my life. "mmmm, no good morning for mommy and daddy?" a half asleep Alex asked, sitting up in bed. Emily ran and jumped in bed with us "good morning mommy and daddy, I hungwy" she smiled sweetly, her brown eyes glistening, just like Alex's. "Okay sweetie, what do you wanna eat?" Alex said, groaning as he put our daughter on his lap "PANCAKES" she yelled, Alex flinched and smiled "is that do-able, Jay?" He asked me, smiling sweetly, "of course! and even if it wasn't, we'd make daddy go out and get some, right princess?" I took Emily out of Alex's arms and set her on my lap "Yeah! heehee" She giggled as Alex pouted playfully, I kissed him quickly and got out of bed, Emily following closely behind.
She ran downstairs, I was about to go after her when Alex grabbed my wrist. I turned around, he was right behind me. "where do you think your going?" he asked, smirk played on his lips "to feed our daughter, what are you doing?" I giggled, he smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist. "MOMMY DADDY" I heard Jack, Gerard, Mikey, and Emily yell. Alex hung his head and I giggled. "When did those three get here?" I sighed, Alex laughed "I guess when I was making a move" he burried his head in the crook of my neck "Aw, baby, if it helps the move would've worked" I said, taking hair out of his eyes so I could see his brown eyes better "It doesn't help!" he giggled. I grabbed his hand and lead him to the kitchen.
Sitting at the table was Gerard, playing with Emily, and Mikey next to Jack, talking about a movie. I sighed, getting Gerard's attention "Hey little sis, hey Alex! Sorry for coming over unannounced!" he said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly "It's okay, G! how are my favorite and only brothers?" I asked hugging Gerard and messing up Mikey's hair, "Hey!" Mikey playfully complained, fixing his hair "we're good, by the way" he finished, answering my question "Sup Jack?" Alex greeted his best friend, Jack Barakat. "Nothing, pretty hungry.." he simply stated. I laughed, "well, I was about to make some pancakes for Emily, y'all want some?" I asked, taking out the pancake mix, I heard a chorus of 'f--yeah' and giggled, they always forget that Emily is still 2.
About an hour later, all the pancakes were made, coffee was on the table and everyone was eating. I watched Alex and Emily, Alex feeding her little parts of pancakes, taking bites for himself. Emily sitting on his lap, giggling and grabbing at his stubble. I smiled, thinking back to the day Alex and I met, maybe I'll tell it to Emily today...
