Author Note:
Hi guys, Psy here! I hope you stick around with me for this story as I will try to post 2/3 chapters every week.
There's only one chapter for now because number two is being planned, sorry for that.
Disclaimer: This story will have profanity and gore.

Edit; I added part 2 to part 1 and renamed part 1 "Stolen" instead!

Although her trip had been a relaxing one, and her first at that, Katnis didn't very much enjoy Hawaii, having lived in Alaska all her life. Having adapted to the cold weather, she wasn't ready for the heat that came along with her vacation; she was practically frying all week.
"Glad to be home," She muttered to herself, trudging along the thick layer of snow. Winter was just upon them, coating the town overnight. If she had to dislike one thing about her home town, it would have to be how hard it is tugging suitcases along the hand like blanket that pulled at her suitcase.
"I can't give up now. Almost home for a hot cup of-" She gave a hard tug on her suitcase when she felt it trapped in the snow, sighing when it came free. "Coffee. Now to find my door..." She looked up at the peaceful, but rotting houses. It wasn't a very wealthy neighbourhood, but she enjoyed the peacefulness, although sometime creepy, at night.
Katnis looked around for a while, realising this wasn't her street. She could tell by the cars.

"Damnit, where did I make a wrong turn?" She propped her suitcase against a lamppost, sitting on it and looking around, confused. She couldn't recognise anything, much less the man walking down the street towards her. She waved at him, trying to get his attention.
"Hey, can you help me?" Katnis tried her best to keep a smile on to mask her worry. She had watched and read too many movies and stories to know how this could go.

The man had a built figure, but wasn't much taller than Katnis when he approached, though she doubted she could win a fight against him.
"Hi, Miss. What can I help you with?" She could distinguish the smell of mouthwash on his breath. Either it was to mask the smell of alcohol or he's just a human being.
"Uhh..." She stood paused for a second, blanking out and shook her head, regaining her train of thought "I just need to know how to get somewhere". What do you mean somewhere, Katnis, he's going to think you're an idi-
"I'd be glad to help, if you'd just tell me where you're headed," He shined a warm smile, showing his teeth. They weren't as perfect as she assumed.
She explained that her street wasn't very well known, telling him the name and naming close by landmarks to help.
"Thank you so much!" Katnis waved back to the man, heading on her way home.
Phew, I didn't know if I could trust him. The pathway here was clear now, not covered by the many layers of snow as the others, surprisingly enough. Now it was easier to pull her suitcase along, despite the ice; she had to concentrate on not slipping everywhere she went.
She was weary of her surroundings, never having liked the dark much, although she felt comfortable having tall buildings surrounding her.
"201... 201... 201!" She pushed the plastic handle down and grabbed her suitcase by the leather one, climbing up the wooden stairs and kicking away the snow.
Once she pulled out her key from her pocket, she slid it in the cold keyhole and turned it, releasing a satisfying clink and she gave a happy sigh.
"Finally Home..."

"201... 201... 201!" It had been five tiring minutes that Katnis had been searching for her door, peering through the snow, which clouded her already poor vision.
She trudged up the risky stairs, her suitcase wearing her down and shoved the plastic handle down, grabbing it by the leather one instead; although rougher and heavier it made the small trek just that much easier. Every step was still a risk of falling though.

Once she did reach her door, she had to hold onto the knob for safety. She protruded a key from her wallet, which lay securely held in her frontal left pocket.
She slid the key in the lock, finding it hard to turn in the cold, but earning a satisfying click when she managed to turn the key with some effort. She hadn't packed gloves for her trip.
She let out a breath, finally entering her welcoming house. The floors were wooden, creaking at each step with the fresh scent of pine candles still wafting through the air, even after a week.
This is the luxury she came home to after spending just that little more for the candles.

She slid her heavy boots off, immediately feeling the freedom of her toes and left them beside the door. But why was she still so chilly?
She then went into her room to change into a hoodie and leggings, getting comfortable after miles of wandering around, trying to find out where she was going through the wide expanse of snow.
'The kids will be going crazy in the morning' Katnis thought to herself, chuckling at the thought of her younger self prancing around in the snow.
However, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye.
"Why is my window open?" She muttered to herself, walking across the room to pull it shut, since it was now wide open, letting in the freezing outdoor air.
"I'm sure I shut this before I left."
Right then, a creak resounded behind her, making her jump.

"Hello? Who's there?" She went over to her conjoined kitchen and pulled a pan out of the cupboard below her hip.
"Come out now." She held it up in front of her, the arm of someone visible in the dimmed hallway.

"Well that isn't a way to treat a guest, is it now?" The figure stepped out of the darkness, showing himself to be a man just taller than Katnis. His voice held an Irish accent, but it was clear and not too deep. Shoulders were broad, he started to carefully approach the door, his eyes locked onto the pan in her hand.
"If you'll just let me go, all will be well. I didn't know anyone lived here". He tried to reason with her, his hands in the air by each of his shoulders.
"Don't you move. I'm calling the police," She tried to keep her voice from shaking, but couldn't control her knees.
"Oh no dear, you don't want to do that," He replied, confusing her.
"Why not?" She tilted her head with one hand extended towars the phone lying on the counter.
"Because I'll only get out again. And it wont be nice for you to hear that the man you got put in prison is on the loose and looking for a woman with brown hair, of medium height and who lives in this very spot."

There was a silence between the two, the only thing audible being Katnis' heavy breathing. She was going into panic. but she didn't know how to stop it; and this wasn't the first time.
I can't do this now, I just need him to leave, and fast.
She retracted her hand slowly, placing it on the counter nonchalantly to not give him the hint that she was troubled. She didn't move her gaze from the stranger. Her knees were shaking a bit more.
Her breathing also became more laboured.

"It seems you're not holding up very well, am I correct?" He grinned and let out a menacing chuckle as he approached Katnis with some speed as he rounded the table in the middle of the room to stand right in front of her.
"Stay... Stay back!" She brandished the weapon weakly with no result as he grabbed it from her hand and threw it on the sofa across the house.
She started to fall as he caught her, slinging her over his shoulder.

Katnis was awake when he took her keys, carried her outside into his car and put her on the back seats, taking here god knows where.
She was also awake to hear her phone ringing in her bedroom, hopefully a sign someone would be worried.
