So I'm pretty sure this is a sorta parallel universe world war 2 vision I had it's basically the same but advance to out level of tech now so here it is I died after I saw this
My commanding officer informed me that my next mission would be in Hiroshima Japan it would be a search and rescue mission because a team of scouts stopped sending reports a few weeks ago so we were supposed to go and either rescue them or go retrieve the bodies.
*1 hour of planning and packing later*
"Alright general my battalions ready to lift off" I told my general with the plane already ready to lift off to take us there and parachute in to the teams last know location
*Many hours of plane ride*
"ALRIGHT EVERYONE LET'S GET READY TO JUMP" I yelled so everyone on the plane could hear me and they all got ready to jump and on the command of the general over the radio we jumped off the plan and started free falling for what felt like forever until we pulled the pics to our parachutes. A little bit later we finally land and started tracking the team all we found was foot prints and an empty duffel bag around the camp
*3 hours of searching later*
"Sir we've lost the tracks and we've searched around the area and found nothing sorry I don't think were going to find even bodies" someone in my team told me nervously " Alright soldier let's set up camp for the night it's getting dark" I told the team they all responded with a happy sigh I could tell they were happy for the rest.
*dawn next morning*
I woke up before my team did to watch the sunset it always relaxed me
*3 hours later*
I let the rest of my battalion sleep in because there wasn't much they had to do when they did wake up we got some unsettling news from someone in the battalion they saw that our plane was coming back but none of us had informed any one of what had happened yet( that we couldn't find any one or even bodies) he said that he saw something large attached to the bottom but he couldn't make out what it was and as soon as he finished telling us about what he saw all of us saw something we wished we'd never see and nuclear mushroom. Time seemed to slow down as I saw my life flash before my eyes I saw the first time I met my wife, when we got married, when we had our first child, when we saw him start school right before I was called back to war, I saw my battalion all frozen in fear as we saw a rushing wave of fire coming towards us and we all knew we couldn't do anything we all realized we'd never see our loved ones again we'd never get to embrace them again and finally that we were all going to die here then I saw my battalion become ash in a second then It was my turn to meet the fiery embrace my last thought was of my family I shed a single tear at the thought of never seeing them again then I was ash.

I'm not sure why I had this vision but I started tearing up as soon as it finished so yeah
