Zach's pov

Maybe I was too persistent

Maybe I shouldnt have said anything

Maybe I should stop with the maybe's

"He didn't love me anyway" I said to myself while walking outside to get some fresh air

"He only did it for revenge"

"He loves Gabbie like I love him."

"Gabbie loves him like he loves me."

"The thing is, she doesn't love him at all."

"Who doesn't love who?" My 75 year old widowed neighbor asked me while watering her garden

Even though she can get a bit nosey sometimes, I love her like a grandmother. I use to tell her everything about Jack and I's relationship and Gabbie, but that all stopped when the two got married.

"How much did you hear?"I asked, coming closer to her

"Listen young rosy cheeks, I may be old, but I'm not a fossil just yet"

"If you want to talk about your boyfriend, come right in." She said, opening her front door

"You know me so well, Mrs. Pattinson."

Even though her husband died of cancer at age 58, she still prefers to kept his name.

I was greeted with the smell of Earl Grey tea and croissants, which was servaved every morning

Mrs. Pattinson was like the therapist for the whole neighborhood. With all the free time she has, she could've built a whole therapist center from scratch.

"So did you two lovers breakup? It was only a day. Let me put in there, the noises from yesterday were disturbing."

I was probably blushing like crazy by now

"How did you hear everything?"

"A woman never tells. Now hurry up and spill the tea! Was he good in bed?" She exclaimed, quite literally spilling the tea

I regret teaching her those words

I told her everything, from when Jack and Gabbie got married, to now

"And yes, he is good in bed"

"Zach, hunny, I would usually take your side, but Jack's a little unstable-maybe you should go find him."

"I would but I don't know where he is."

"I saw him walking towards 16th Avenue, maybe you should check there"

"Thank so much Mrs. Pattinson!" Hugged her and  ran out the door

***
I just remembered that 16th Avenue is half a mile away from where we live so how did she figure it out?

Whatever

I soon give up and walk inside a cafè

I regretted coming there, but I didn't run, even though I saw Jack, with a girl on his lap
