Chapter 3

{Eyeless Jack POV}

I follow the two lovebirds, though disgusted by how they were showing their love in a sappy and gross way, as they get farther and farther away from the group.

"Looks like the time to strike has begun," I said grinning under my mask.

{Narrator POV}

Jennifer giggles at a joke Thomas made while he smirked enjoying the sound of her laughter. Once they reach an open meadow in the woods they look up as Jennifer was in awe with the stars. Thomas smile seeing her like this as it gave him a crazy idea making him sneak away from her and back into the woods to find her flowers as a way to surprise Jennifer.

"Thomas, isn't the night sky so beautiful shining brightly like this?"

"Yeah, too bad it will be the last thing you'll ever see" Eyeless Jack said.

Thomas looks up hearing Jennifer scream pierce the air as he drops the flowers and runs back for her.

"Jennifer?! Jennifer!" He calls out getting to where he had left her. Jennifer was sitting there on the grass with her back towards him as he moves closer towards her hesitant and touches her shoulder.

"Jennifer?"

{Reader POV}

"Alright, just keep calm and this won't take so long and you'll be right as rain," I said to myself walking in the woods trying to keep my anxiety low. I kept talking to myself as I get upset at my friends for taking so long to go through with the plan.

"What is taking them so long to text me their location. Wish they text me right now where they're at instead of forcing me to track down where they set up camp" I grumble getting upset and very uneasy about the whole thing. The next thing I know I hear screams piercing the night sky sending my anxiety skyrocketing in horror of that sound. I waited frozen in place letting the sound of the forest silence and my heart pound in my ears. I look around before relaxing a bit still uneasy and move quickly to find my friends hoping they would text me soon and that they were fine.

"Hurry up guys, I don't wanna stay out here any longer then I need to be."

{Narrator POV}

"What was that?" Nicole asked as she, Max, and Kaity looks over to the sound of where they heard the scream.

"Think that was Jennifer who screamed?" Kaity asked worriedly. Max got up and grab a flashlight as he turned it on and point the light in that directions.

"Only one way to find out," Max said as the two girls nod following behind Max deeper into the woods.
