I had made a mental note to listen to the song that Ricky had recommended, and I absolutely loved it.
But baby don't you go over analyze.
No need to theorize.
I can put your doubts to rest.
You're the only one worth seeing.
The only place worth being
The only bed worth sleeping is the one right next to you.But based on what had happened the other day, I knew that I couldn't get too comfortable with him, as much as I want him to be mine, it could be a possibility that he doesn't like me like that. But who knows because he is extremely confusing. He's more difficult to read than my pre-med book.
I walked to the library, and there he was. By himself this time, and my heart did this thing inside my chest when my eyes laid on him. He waved, I waved back.
"You read?" I questioned as I got closer. He did the silly boy grin that I had learned to love. "Of course. Plus there's this cutie who comes in very often, and it's not me." I laugh, "you're such a dork. Are you talking about your blonde?" He lifted his eyebrows, "no.." and he smirked. "Why you jealous?" I laughed out loud at his question, "absolutely not, Rick Warren." He grinned from ear to ear. And that's when I got it, the lyrics to that song, you're the only one worth seeing. And this, moment I would hold in my heart for the rest of my life. It's a small, insignificant moment but I believe it's the small things that matter. We went into the library and he kept making funny faces, making me giggle like a child. Like I said, it's the small things that matter.
Later on that day, I sat in the cafeteria, my laptop facing me, with an e-book to my pre-medicine book. That's when a pretty blonde sat in front of me. I eyed her, out of all the tables she had to sit in mine. She didn't have a notebook, a book, or anything so I thought it was weird that she was just staring at me. I closed the laptop, my book can wait. She smiled at me, and that's when I remembered that she was the same blonde Ricky had been talking to.
"Hi, I didn't mean to come up to you like that.. I'm sorry!" She said, her voice was high and perky. Her face was very pretty, a set of big blue eyes, her hair was pale, her tan was a bit funky but she was still very pretty. "It's fine.." I said.
"I'm Alison." She smiled. What did she want? Was she here to tell me that she's going to fight for Ricky? "I'm Maria." I ran my fingers through my curly hair. "I think you're wondering why I'm here." "Yeah." Here I go, now I don't know if I'm awkward or rude. At this point, I honestly don't know. "Well, I'm one of Ricky's friends." Here we go. She's about to confess her love about him to me, in hopes that I'll back off. "Uhu" I said, letting her know I'm listening. "So do you know he's in love with you?" Girl, I thought he was in love with you. The shock going through me was insane. I was taken back, by what just came out of her mouth. Maybe this is all a joke. Maybe I'm a joke to him, maybe I'm getting punked it right now. And the host of the show is going to come out and laugh at me, and he might even say 'gotcha!!'
Allison smiled, "why the face? I thought he was making it obvious." HE WAS.
"I can't believe it.." was all that I could say. "You better not be playing." I said to her. And she laughed, "you're funny." "I thought you were his girlfriend." "Nope." She said really quick. And then she said, "I have a boyfriend, his name is Ryan." I nodded. "So there's this baseball game tomorrow, and I was hoping you would come." She said. "Wait to your game?"
"No! It's the boys pre game for the season." "Cool." "So see you then?" "Yeah." All that was going through my head was, why didn't Ricky ask me to the game.
He's a cold, cold man...Who happens to be in love with me!!
