Following morning Liam got woken up to movement in the room, looking up he saw a lady with a clipboard in her hand and a gentle smile on her face.

"Sorry to wake you....Liam am I right?"

Liam nodded as he stretched out his sore muscles. "Yeah that's me. I hope you don't mind me asking, who are you?" The lady chuckled behind her hand. "I am Lisa Smith, child councilor for uncared children. Please to meet you Liam." The two shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.

"So, what is going to happen to Harry now?" Lisa laid the clipboard on her lap. "Well, after Harry is discharged I am taking him with me, there is a chance that he will be placed inside an orphanage with other children until a family adopts him" Liam sighed, he didn't want Harry to go through that, it is bad enough the little boy has gone through years of abuse he doesn't need to be put in an orphanage.

However, there is something he could do to prevent that from happening.

"Question, if it can be arranged...well err can I and my husband adopt him? I mean we have two boys already, both eleven and thirteen. It's not like Harry will be lonely and we both have well paid jobs. We can manage with an extra person" Lisa smiled happily.

"I knew you'd say something along those lines. A doctor told me over the phone about you possibly wanting to adopt. I to be honest have no problems in getting the papers needed for you, actually I have the papers with me right now to make Harry your priority and son, but this is up to Harry and what he wants. The boy has no family left for most of his aunts and unlce's have moved away or passed away. You and your other half seem like a good couple and I am sure you will be able to give Harry what he needs in order to feel happy again. I am no psychologist but I know children with a background like Harry's tend to take their time in trusting people and opening up, but I am sure you will do great" Lisa replied, her voice showing hope for him.

Lisa and Liam talked a while longer about this that and the other until Harry had woken up. Liam leaned towards Harry and held the young boy's hand.

"Hey buddy, your at the hospital remember? I'm Liam from before. Shh don't be afraid, I won't hurt you. In fact I have a big boy question for you" Harry leaned his head back, his heart pounding in his chest of all the things Liam could ask him. "There is no need to be so worried buddy. I want to ask you on how you feel about me adopting you" Liam broke out, not beating around the bush.

"Do you know what adopting is?" Harry paused a moment but shook his head. He didn't know what most things where for he was brought out of school when he turned five after his mother walked out on them. "Adopting is where I will become your new Daddy. You get to have a fresh start and a fresh family who will love and care for you forever and always"

Harry's heart stopped, after everything he's been through and the burden he is.....Liam wanted to adopt him of all children?

Don't get Harry wrong, he cherished in the fact someone this soon wanted to take him on, but could he really build that trust up?

Will he forget about his past and smile again?

It's been so long since he last smiled, he just needed to find his happy place again.....could this be it.....is Liam his one way ticket to his new happy place?

"What do you think then buddy? Do you want to come live with me and my husband? I have got two son's who will love to have a younger brother around to play with!" Liam exclaimed while Lisa sat in the chair next to Harry's bed at the other side from Liam. "All you have to do Harry is say yes you want to be with Liam and it's done" Lisa helped out only to make Harry nervous and hunch in on himself.
