High School Story

The First Day

I stare at the sign out front. Awesome High? Cool but weird name. I couldn't believe I was here. This was the start of my new life. My life as a dancer.

I was a nerd at my old school, Hearst High. No one liked me, especially Max, the cheerleaders, Asher and Chelsea. The only friend I had was Hope, a wallflower. She told me about how her brother, Julian, transferred to Awesome High. He loves it there, and she almost transferred, too, but decided to stay. Then, almost a week ago, she invited me to a dance party at Awesome High. Julian was throwing it.

I went to the party. Julian and this girl Dana told me all about their school, how Dana's dad is the principal and that anyone who is lonely should transfer here, because everyone's friends. I told my mom about it, and she let me transfer!!! And here I am, walking up to the admissions office.☺

After getting admitted, the principal tells me that there are tons of 'hangouts', where you can hang out at in between classes, and make new friends. He told me that since I "dance" that I should try the jock hangout, if there was enough room. "Dana will help you settle in." he said.

I leave the admissions office. The school is HUGE!!!!! It's all outdoors, and the classrooms are shaped like grad hats. It's soooo cool!!!😃😃😃 I then see Dana running up to me. She's wearing a mint dress, which is very fancy compared to my yellow shirt, blue skirt and cardigan. She also had pink streaks in her hair now.

"MISTY-SUE!!!" she yells.

"Hi." I say

" Want to be shown around?"

"Sure."

At the end of the tour, I see little buildings all around. Some big, some small.

"These are the hangouts." Dana says. "I'll introduce you to everyone before we get you in yours."

Dana takes me to a pink cottage-looking hangout. There's a pink banner with a vest on the side.

"This is a Prep hangout." she says. "And this is Lexy, Jake and Maggie."

"Hi!" Maggie says.

"Sup?" Jake says. Lexy stays quiet.

We then go to another Prep hangout, this time bigger.

"This is mine." Dana says. "Hey, guys!" Everyone says hi back to her.

"Misty-Sue, this is Al, Felix, Maria and Abbi. And over in the Prep hangout beside us is Gaby and Payton."

Next is a yellow hangout. "This is the artist one. We're trying to get some more. Inside is Kris, Anna-Marie and Autumn."

She then shows me some purple ones. "The nerd hangouts. There's Ella, Dave, George, Taylor, Nishan and Harrold."

Last are the jock hangouts. I figured it out because there's only four hangout types. "Julian, Benny, Kayla and Erik are inside these. You will be with Benny and Julian."
