Louis woke up on the hard linoleum of his bedroom floor, his face stuck and ached; He must have fallen out of bed at some point.  He fluttered his eyes open for a moment only to quickly squeeze them shut again and moans at the brightness of the mid afternoon sun.

He was curious to how long he’d been asleep.

He could hear voices coming from the hall, whoever it was were choosing to speak in hushed tones.  Louis figured he could get away with a few more hours of sleep, he crawled slowly back up into his bed.

As soon as his head rested on the pillow his door crashed open with a thud as the doorknob made harsh contact with the wall.

Good Morning Louis!” Harry practically sang jumping on top of Louis, his elbow making contact with Louis ribcage causing the older boy to let out a strangled groan.

“ Fuck off” Louis hissed, pulling the blanket over his head as if it would hide him from the boy.

“Maybe we should leave him alone guys.”  The familiarly husky voice reasoned, Louis hadn’t even realized the other boys were in the room. His cheeks were flushing a brilliant red as he realized the owner of the voice had just seen him, his tan face riddled with sleep, light brown hair sticking to his forehead with a thin layer of sweat provided by the heat of his room.

Liam.

Louis continued hiding under the covers until he heard a few defeated mumbles and sighed as the four boys made a hasty exit from the large room.

Louis reached for his phone off the nightstand next to his bed; the screen burst to life in big white print across the top was “1:24”. Louis sighed and got out of bed, running a hand through his sweat coated hair and stumbled for the shower.

He let the warm water rinse over him, engulfing his entire body in its embrace.

The heat of the water left his skin with a soft pink tint, but Louis really didn’t mind, it was soothing almost.

When Louis was finally finished with his shower he stepped into the cold air of the bathroom, shivering at the sudden change in temperature and wrapped a soft towel loosely around his hips.

Once he got into his room he rummaged through his closet for something to wear, finally settling on a pair of light gray sweat pants, he and the boys were probably going to just stay in his and Harrys flat anyways.   Louis was about to pull on dark blue t-shirt as he heard a faint knock on his door.

“Come in” Louis shouted absentmindedly as the door creaked open.

“Hey, hope I’m not interrupting anything” Liam said sheepishly walking into the room.

Louis gestured to the bed and sat crossed legged at the edge of it.   Liam sat directly across from him.

“How are things?” Liam’s words came out cautiously; as if he was worried he would upset Louis.

Everyone had been treating Louis the same way Liam was right now, for the past three weeks at least.  Louis really didn’t understand what the big deal was, so what he came out on live television a little over a month ago? He was still Louis, right? Care free, giggly Louis?

“Yeah! Perfectly fine Li, why do you ask?” Louis chirped with a smile spread across his thin lips.

“Well I mean, now that your gay-” Liam was interrupted before he could finish his thought.

“I was always gay Liam” Louis reminded him a little impatiently, his blue eyes wandering around Liam’s face.

“Right, I’m sorry” Liam shook his head and fiddled with his fingers. He was still trying to wrap his head around the whole situation; it really came as a shock for everyone. Well, except for Harry, he always knew.

“Are you though?”  Louis bit his bottom lip thoughtfully “Forget it Liam, get out” Louis shook his head, looking away from the pained expression in Liam’s deep brown eyes.

“Where is this coming from?” There were so many emotions in Liam’s voice, Confusion, sympathy, hurt.

To be honest, Louis wasn’t sure where it was coming from.

“I said get out Liam! I don’t want to see your stupid face, so just fuck off” Louis words dripped with underlying meaning.

“Come back, hold me” Louis tried to dismiss the thought from his mind.

“Lou-” Liam pleaded, being interrupted yet again.

“GET OUT, LIAM” Louis rose to his feet and pointed to the door, shouting just quiet enough that the boys wouldn’t overhear the argument.

“Louis, would you just shut up for a minute!” Liam’s voice held a forcefulness that had startled the both of them, but Louis soon returned to standing his ground.

With that, Louis hand found its way towards Liam’s face, and with intense amounts of force his palm made contact with Liam’s scruffy cheek.

That was the first time Louis Tomlinson hurt Liam Payne.

Once the shock set in with Liam and he regained his wits, he raised a hand to brush the now red surface of his face, looking up to see almost as much shock registered in Louis expression.

Without another word Liam’s body lurched forward, almost involuntarily. His lips crashing desperately against Louis, The taste of citrus overwhelming his senses. He almost couldn’t believe it.

Louis was there, Louis was real, and Louis was his.

“What! Louis not mine! What am I thinking?” ran through Liam’s head as he disconnected there intertwined lips letting out an inaudible moan at the loss of connection.

“Oh my god Louis I’m so sorry” Liam cried taking a few steps back stumbling over his feet.

Louis sucked in his bottom lip, not sure what to make of what just happened.

“Liam do you know how I knew I was gay?” Louis questioned; all traces of anger from earlier leaving his face.

Liam shook his head in response.

“Because there was this boy, and when I looked at him my heart skipped a beat.  Whenever he was around nothing seemed to matter anymore, any problems just seemed to vanish, I looked forward to his smile when I woke up in the morning and It was the last thing I thought about before I went to bed, and I can’t help but remember thinking ‘Wow, if he isn’t mine I don’t know what I’ll do’” Louis laughed at the fond memory.

Liam’s face showed no sign of understanding; He stood there like a puppy that had done something wrong.

Louis had to resort to actions where his words had failed him, placing his hand gently on the back of Liam’s neck and placing his lips once again on the broad shouldered boy’s.

The kiss was gentler then when Liam had initiated it, but every bit as desperate. Louis let the pure ecstasy of having Liam’s gentle lips seemingly weightless atop of his overwhelm his senses.

Neither of the boys knew what they just started, but they never wanted it to stop.
