The Vampire Assassin

Chapter one

"Ren, we found another dead member."

"Damn it Blake! Who the hell is killing our clan members out from under our noses!

"We'll, if I knew we wouldn't be standing here discussing it now would we?" Blake says sarcastically.

"That was a rhetorical question therefore it required no answer!!!" I said yelling. I was getting highly upset with his jokes and games.

"I know what a rhetorical question is no need to explain it."

"Ok Blake if you don't stop being a smart ass and start helping me try and figure this out I'm gonna rip your head off!"

"Gosh Ren take a joke for once in your life would ya?

"Right now is not the time for jokes. We have serious business to tend too!!

"Ok mister clan leader sir lets get to investigating then."( note the sarcasm in his voice)

"Sounds more like it, now would you please call Xavier in here cause I know he's been listening through the door the whole time."

"Hey Xavier, would you mind coming in here cause we kinda know you've been there the whole time!!!??!!!" Blake yelled really loudly.

...Knock knock

"May I come in?" Asked Xavier through the door.

"Xavier, you've all ready heard the whole conversation so there is no need in asking anymore." I said genuinely upset.

"Sorry for listening in to your conversation Ren, it's just that I really want to be included in you're top secret conversation." Xavier said while walking in.

Before anyone could say anything about him eaves dropping he spoke again.

"Naw I'm just kidding. I knew y'all would try and keep this too yourselves so I was gonna join in but I figured eavesdropping would be more fun, which it wasn't. Who knew that listening in to other peoples conversations made you mad at them for not having better come backs?? Ya I'm talking to you about that Ren."

"Ok Xavier I did not call you in here to dis me about my come backs. Which shouldn't even have been considered that since I took no offense to what he had said." I said getting agitated.

"I think Xavier is right dude, you did have sucky come backs." said Blake.

"Ok guys, I did not call you in here for shits and giggles. If you're not willing to grow up and help me then you can just leave and I'll find someone who will be happy to replace you." I said tired of playing games.

"Ok Ren, but technically speaking none of us are getting any older." said Blake making Xavier laugh.

"Ok fair enough now are you gonna help or not?"

"Yes, but after this, we will help you with your come backs.(emphasis on the help) Most the time come backs come naturally" said Xavier appearing as though he knew this would annoy me further.

"Ok I'll let you "help" me with my come backs, but only after we figure this mess out,...deal?"

"DEAL!" was both guys replies.

"Ok, first we need to figure out the cause of death so... "I pause thinking of what to do next....,of course!! "Blake you informed me of the tragedy so what was the cause of death?" I said thinking we were finally getting somewhere.

"Uhh, I think he died cause he found a crack in his butt." says Blake, making himself and Xavier burst into laughter. I only let out a little snicker cause I knew if I laughed for real they would start acting a fool.

"Thank you for that information. now what was the real cause of death?" I asked getting serious once again.

"I knew Blake would forget by now, so I went ahead and checked the body out for myself. The body had no defensive wounds, although he had some human skin under his nail. We went ahead and assumed he got a little rough with his last victim. The only other thing that points to his murder was a small puncture wound found in his upper arm. We assume that whatever put that puncture mark there killed him."

"Damn Xavier, are you trying to take my job?" asked Blake laughing.

"He could with all the information he just gave me. He's helped me more in the past five minutes than you have in the past hundred years." I said laughing at Blake's face when he heard me say this.

"I see how much I'm appreciated." Whispered Blake, not that it did much considering we have vampire hearing.

"Ok, we'll it's late and after Xavier helped me with the whole cause of death problem I'm rather sleepy, so goodnight you are dismissed." I said this to the guys cause I was actually sleepy. We don't have to sleep, but it is refreshing so I sleep every once in a while and with all this stress I need it.

"I was gonna leave anyways." I heard Blake say as he shut the door.

I just chuckled and layed down in bed. We'll figure the rest out in the morning.
