Chapter Seven-The Decision

Since Saturday evening kong pinag-ispan yung offer sa akin ni Ms. Cortez. Halos di nga ako makatulog kagabi eh. But today I have to make my decision.

Knock....knock

Sa ngayon nandito na ako sa labas ng principal's office.

"Come in"

Binuksan ko yung pinto as always nakaupo si Ms. Cortez sa chair niya

"Ah Jia, you're here. Come in and please take a seat . So, have you decided already?"

"Uhmmm. Yes ma'am I'll accept your offer."

"That's wonderful."

Tumayo siya at niyakap niya ako.

"Thank you so much Jia, you don't know how much this means to me."

sabi niya sa akin while releasing me from her bear hug.

"You're welcome po ma'am. Don't worry po I'll do my best."

"I know, that's why I've chosen you for this job because I know that you'll do your best. Now Ms. Martinez, you may know go to class." sabi niya sa akin while winking.

"Goodbye Ma'am. and I promise,I won't fail you."

"Class, can I please have your attention I have an announcement to make." sabi ni Ms. Cruz

"Thank You class, as your project for this quarter you will be presenting a play and you will be grouped into four groups."

"What kind of play miss?" tanong ng isa kung kaklase.

"Its going to be musical play just like the ones you've seen in movies like the sound of music and such but this play will be a little different because in each group you will be in charge of your own production which means you can make your own scripts. It will be your decision if what talents you would include in your performance. But as I said this will be a group project so all of you are required to join. Are there any questions? Sabi ni Ms. Cruz

"Ms. Cruz are you going to be the one to group us or we will be the one to group ourselves?" Tanong ni Julia.

"Thank You for bringing that question up Ms. Dale. As I said you will be grouped but your groupings will not only be in this class. You will be grouped with other sections. As far you all know each section has 30 students so you will be grouped randomly. I will be posting the groupings tomorrow in the bulletin boards so just look through it tomorrow." Ms. Cruz explained.

Hay salamat! At least hindi magiging awkward sana lang magkagrupo kami nina Violet.

"Ok class dismissed see you all tomorrow."

Nagsitayuan na lahat at nagpunta sa mga classrooms nila. Nakita ko si David na paalis na syempre sinundan ko kasi parehas naman kmi nang pupuntahan.
Habang sinusundan ko siya bigla siyang tumalikod at hinawaka. Ang kamay ko.

"Look alam kong inutusan ka ni auntie pero sana naman huwag mo akong buntutan kahit saan ako pumunta." Sabi ni David.

"Pero David kasi yun yung utos sakin ni Ms. Cortez eh."

"So aso ka pala ng auntie ko. Ano bang inoffer niya sayo? Pera ba?! Gusto mo bayaran na lng kita eh." Sabi niya sakin habang humihigpit yung hawak niya sa kamay ko.

"Ano ba David bitawan mo nga ako! " sabi ko sabay hila sa kamay ko.

"How dare you! Ang kapal naman ng mukha mo. Hindi ko ginagawa to dahil sa pera at anong akala mo sakin mabibili mo ako ng pera mo. Para lang malaman mo ginagawa ko to dahil malaki ang utang na loob ko sa auntie mo. Sabi ko sakanya habang pinipigilan kong tumulo yung luha ko.
