The Meeting: B

My name is Soragami Tsukishihai. My dad used to call me Sora for short. I'm 15 years old and I'd say that I'm not your typical teen to say the least.

Growing up, my dad taught me to that humanity is a beautiful thing and that I should cherish the people around me.

He firmly believed that no matter the flaws that everyone possessed, that there is good somewhere in us all.

He'd probably be ashamed to know that I'm an unsocial loner who wants nothing to do with humanity now. Unfortunately, humans are responsible for why I feel this way.

I've recently transferred to Faith Academy in the 11thgrade. Even though I'd prefer not to deal with others, this was necessary for me to achieve my goals.

The school is located in Déntra, which is the capital of the country of Ílios.

It's not a very large country as it's an archipelago and consists of a few hundred islands, located on the western side of the world.

The city is almost the perfect blend of modern society coinciding with nature. Consisting of very large buildings and towers, while at least 60% of it is surrounded by large forests'.

Looking at the sizes of trees, I'd say many of them have been around for several centuries.

When I initially arrived in the city everything had felt mundane and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. However, my first day of school led to a discovery that I did not foresee.

I was greeted by the homeroom teacher outside of the classroom.

"Hello, my name is Mr. Richards. I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on. It is my hope that we get along well".

He said while smiling in a friendly manner.

While he didn't seem malicious, I'm distrustful of others for a good reason. Even if he appeared to be nice, I was not interested in being on good terms with that man.

"No need for the pleasantries. It's in your best interest to pretend that I'm barely even here".

The look on his face said it all. He was taken aback.

"uh...... well I'll just head inside and announce to the class that you've arrived. You can come inside after I give the signal".

After waiting outside for a few minutes, I heard the signal.

"Please come inside and introduce yourself."

Said by Mr. Richards.

I casually entered the room and made my way to the front of the classroom.

In order to quickly get the formalities out of the way, I told the class what my name was.

"My name is Soragami Tsukishihai."

Mr. Richards then followed this by asking me if there was anything about myself that I would like to share with my new classmates.

I decided to use this as an opportunity to create some distance between myself and everyone else. The quicker the better.

"Don't get involved with me. I didn't come here to play friends, so just stay out of my way and I'll stay out yours."

The entire class froze for a second and I could tell by the looks on their faces that they were trying to process if I actually said that.

Once they fully understood what I had said, they began to react.

What's his problem?"

"This guy has some nerve."
