I look up. Seeing the beautiful night sky. A full moon causes the stars to shine brightly. I focus on the river. Closing my eyes I can hear the animals and rushing water. A cool breeze feels refreshing. Inhaling deeply I smell the plants and wet earth. Suddenly wolf howls flood my ears. I gasp as each howl sounds closer. Panic claws my insides and I feel myself tremble in fear. Twigs start to snap my panic intensifies. A bush rustles and I slowly rise to my feet. Careful, careful, careful...too late. A pack of wolves lunge at me at the same time. In a desperate attempt to live I dive into the water. Shivering from both fear and the cold water I start to swim as fast as I can. The pack chases me. Some are in the river and the rest are running along the river. Adrenaline kicks in forcing me to go faster. Thinking I'm safe I slow to a stop. A mistake I realize as a set of jaws pierce my flesh. I can feel my veins being torn out. Screams of pain start to fill my throat. This only aggravates them and they start to claw and bite me even more. No longer can I feel the pain. However, I can still hear the noise coming from my own body. Flesh being torn, crunching of bones, and  the sloshing of my organs. Life seeps out of my grasp. Finally I feel  peaceful once again. My soul is relieved. An image of someone with dull lifeless eyes is now all I see. This person looks familiar and I try to remember who that is. I watch as organs are yanked away from the stranger. A lovely crimson red and a blue-purple call my attention. Looking closer a tear escapes as I realize who it is. Veins and blood scattered out around the now identified person. That was me. The image shrinks as I am consumed by a dark void of emptiness.
