{Chapter 12} I Am Not Just Your Little Puppet

The morning sun shone through your window and splashed across your face. It felt warm and you smiled, curling the blankets around you more and turning over. Your eyes fluttered open only to see Kankuro's peaceful sleeping face in front of yours. Your eyes widened and you blushed.

'Shit we fell asleep!' You thought and nudged him. He squirmed a bit then wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into him. Your giggle filled his ears and his eyes opened slightly. His mouth slid into a warm smile as he closed his eyes again and kissed you.

"Morning beautiful." He mumbled and you giggled again.

"Morning handsome." You chided kissing him back. "Unfortunately you need to wake up." You stated. He opened his eyes annoyed.

"Why." His voice was flat. You rolled your eyes and showed him the time on your clock. His eyes widened a bit. "Oh shit. We fell asleep..." Just then you heard a knock on your door. Both your eyes went wide.

"Shizuri you should probably get up! It's 10 o'clock! I almost have breakfast ready!" You heard Adira's voice ring through the door.

"Shit shit shit shit" you spoke in whispers as Kankuro hurriedly got out of the bed and pulled his shirt on. You opened the window as he was putting his shoes on.

"Shizuri? What's going on are you okay?" You saw the doorknob starting to turn and your eyes went wide so you whipped off your clothes so you were kneeling in the bed naked. Kankuro was half out the window as he stared at you, his face beat red. The door was opening now and you pushed him out the window and started covering yourself up. "Shizuri I -" Adira half walked in and saw you quickly cover yourself.

"Adira!"

"Ah! Sorry!!" She covered her eyes and ran out slamming the door behind her. You quickly looked out the window at Kankuro laying in the grass a little dazed. At least it wasn't that big of a drop seeming as you were on ground level. He quickly jumped up and looked down at your chest smirking. You rolled your eyes and flicked his nose.

"Okay hurry up, before someone sees you!" You kissed him quickly and he ran off. After he was gone you got dressed and sauntered out and sat down at the table all cheery.

"So what's for breakfast Adi?" You looked at her with rainbow eyes. She blinked a couple times looking at you strangely.

"Uh, bacon, eggs and home fries..." She looked puzzled. You just hummed along with the music she had on and read the ingredients and stuff on the milk carton that was on the already set table.

"So where's Takeshi?" You looked up to see Adira looking at you weird. "What?" You tilted your head cutely and stared at her with big eyes. She blinked a couple times.

"Uh he left early to go train..." She paused as she put all the food on the table. "What's gotten into you? You're never this cheery or.. Weird in the morning." You quickly looked down shoving a piece of bacon in your mouth, your face burning red.

"Nothing!" You tried to hide your blush with your hair but Adira leaned way forward to stare at you. Her eyes widened then she sat back down quickly.

"What happened!!!!!" She yelled slamming her hands down on the table, making you jump and look up at her with big chibi eyes.

"N-nothing happened I don't know what you're talking about!" You filled your plate up with food quickly then ran to your room, slamming the door behind you and locking it. Adira was right there behind you pounding at the door.

"SHIZURI OPEN THE DAMN DOOR! YOU BETTER TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED OR HEAVEN FORBID I WILL KNOCK YOUR DOOR OFF ITS HINGES!!" She screamed going psycho. She stopped for a second and heard the door unlock and open slowly, only to see you standing there with your head tilted down, big chibi eyes looking up at her and a light blush coating your cheeks. Adira froze with big white eyes.
