"Transcending" on the Red Hot Chili Peppers Album "One Hot Minute" is dedicated to River.
R.E.M album "Monster" is dedicated to River in the liner notes - - he was friends with the lead singer Micheal Stripe.
Natalie Merchants song "River" was dedicated to him.
The famous Brazilian singer and song writer Milton Nas Cimento wrote a song called "River Phoenix" years before River's death.
Authors Note- It hardly seems possible that it's been 21 years since River's death. He was very young but an incredible actor. He may be dead. But in our minds he is still around. No one will ever replace such a great actor, singer etc. His death was just a shock to everyone.
