Isabelle POV
Exhausted, I flop down on my king-sized bed, scrolling through Twitter on my phone. I only have 276 followers since Harry and I's split. What I get is mostly hate, but there are some supporting comments in the mix. It's not like I can post anything back. I mean, putting a picture of Lydia would practically lead Harry to our door. Not that he even cares.
After a few minutes, Lydia's cries fill the medium-sized loft. For a two-year-old, she has loud cries. Just as I manage to get up and start walking up the stairs, my cell phone starts to ring. I look at the caller ID. Perrie, it reads. I clock the pulsing green icon of a phone in the right-hand corner of the screen.
"Hey," I grunt. I open Lydia's door and see she is fine. I read online that letting toddlers cry over going to bed is normal. After closing the door again, I head down to the kitchen for a snack. "Is that Lydia? I hear crying," she questions. I only told Perrie and Eleanor about Lydia. Danielle figured it out 7 months after Lydia was born, when she came to California for a surprise visit. Surprise being the key word. "Hello? Earth to Isabelle?"
"Huh?" I ask. I hear Perrie sigh on the other end. "I want to come see you. Me, Eleanor, and Dani are all free for a few weeks. The boys think we're going on a girl's week getaway type of thing." I can't even think about it. There really is no arguing with Perrie. She always wins.
"I don't really have the most free schedule in the world, Perrie. Between Lydia, work, and trying to stay away from One Direction at all costs, it's ju-"
"Too bad. We're coming up in 2 weeks. We're in, um, hold on- ZAYN! WHERE ARE WE?" She waits a few seconds, and I hear Zayn's muffled voice in the background. "OK!" She stops yelling and puts the phone next to her ear again. "We're in New Jersey."
I sigh. I really am excited to see my three best friends again, but the chance we'll even see Harry is too much. After saying goodbye, I hang up the phone with Perrie. I check the clock. 3:45 am, it reads. I lay down on the couch and close my eyes, hoping to get a few hours of sleep.
My eyes snap open to hear absolutely nothing. I sigh and put my hand on my chest. I thought I heard Lydia crying, but I guess not. My thoughts return to sleep just as I hear Lydia crying. I check my phone. 9:55 am; that must be why Lydia's crying. She doesn't like to sleep in much. I see that I also have 4 new texts. While walking up the stairs, I read them.

I smile and slide my phone in my back pocket. Looking down, I see I'm still wearing jeans and a t-shirt from yesterday. Walking over to Lydia's crib, I see her smile at me. Smiling back, I walk her down the stairs to the kitchen. Scouting the fridge, I find a banana and some orange juice. After putting Lydia down in her high-chair, I start to cut up the banana. Just as I'm finished, my phone rings. Without even looking at the caller ID, I pick up.
"Hello?"
"Isabelle," a deep husky voice says. I could recognize that voice anywhere. Liam. My breath catches in my throat. "It's Liam. Danielle told me. About Lydia, about everything." I am I about to object when I loose interest of lying again to another person.
"Yeah. Please don't tell Harry." I hear Liam sigh. "Isabelle, I won't. And I'm not going to pressure you into telling him." My muscles relax, and I continue to pour 2 glasses of orange juice. "Then why did you call?" I question. "Well, I want to let you know, your secret's safe with me. But we need to meet up. I want to meet Lydia and see you." After putting Lydia's breakfast in front of her and grabbing my own juice, I respond.
"Aren't you on tour?"
"Yeah, but management said we had 2 days off. Today and tomorrow, I mean. And I'm already in California. I wanted to go sightseeing, but I figured I could kill 2 birds with one stone and come see you." I nod then remember he can't see me.
"Sure. Want to meet at Starbucks? It's in Glendale, " I remember. "Sure, Isabelle. See you in about 15." I hear the line go dead and put my phone on the table with Lydia. I see she has finished her breakfast, so I quickly clean off her dishes and take her up to her room to get dressed. I put her in some new clothes and walk to my room, searching my closet. Finally, I pick a casual outfit for the hot weather outside.
After grabbing Lydia, I walk out the door, on my way to Starbucks.
