Yes, a relationship can be destroyed by lies. Relationships built on lies will most likely crumble because of them, but relationships don't crumble solely because of the lies. They only crumble when the one who was lied to refuses to forgive. The refusal to forgive, no, the refusal to understand why, or at least try to, can destroy any relationship.

Broken relationships, and broken trust, just like broken hearts, can always be healed, and fixed. Just like a broken heart can be healed by the one who broke it, broken trust can always be repaired, and broken relationships can always be rebuilt. The only reason that this doesn't usually happen, it because someone refused to forgive, and to give someone another chance.
