Charles finally notices me,  who was trying to reach for his attention for now more than 5 minutes. Seriously, I wouldn't interrupt him for anything in the world and who would come to somebody who wants to maybe talk about you being a lawbreaker? Nobody would! He fast walks toward me, his steps pounding in my head like a hammer. He replaces his blonde-turning-to-white hairs and puts his leather coat straight. He clears his throat and looks into my blue eyes, and then I knew something was up.

"Finally, we need to talk," he insists on the last word of his short sentence like if there was a secret meaning to this simple word. I look away and then look back at him, nodding with confused minds.

"About...?" I ask so he could continue.

"Hailee," he says, looking like it was obvious. I freeze, surely looking like a deer in front of a car. "About you and Hailee," he still insists totally trying to make me understand something I clearly don't understand. Now I was sweating, cold sweat, not even moving of an inch.

"Y-yes?"

"Well, I want to sincerely thank you. You did a wonderful job back there," he exclaims, winking at me. I awkwardly swallow...What is he talking about?... Did he saw us in the back of the back-stage Hailee and me?!

"Sorry Ch-Charles, I'm c-confused," I stutter against my will.

"On the stage yesterday you day-dreamer! I've never seen a bodyguard as talented as you are!" he burst into laughter. In relief, I let out an embarrassed laugh to go along with him. "Count on me to raise your salary, Denvers!" he says before walking away, leaving me alone with myself who is actually freaking out, trying to relax, telling me that I'm not in trouble, again and again. I was going to breathe out whatever that was but a hand gets on my shoulder and I take it, turn around, twist lightly the arm, earning a little 'Squeak' from my assailant. I suddenly see Steinfeld's grimacing face, bending down in pain. I immediately let her go,  eyes wide ready to apologize but she cuts me.

"Don't be sorry, I'm the one who is sorry actually...Oww, I really should stop doing this," she complains, rubbing her arm. I get closer and looks carefully at her arm, having a HUGE déjà-vu feeling.

"Yeah well, it's maybe not the best thing to do with the best bodyguard in the world," I smirk looking up into her hazel eyes.

"Don't think so high about yourself copper," she replies getting even closer.

"Your words, not mine." She looks at me with a questioning look.

"What do you mean?"

"The best for the best, right?" I ask still having this fox smile patched to my face.

"Oh you charmer," she whispers only a breathe away from my face. The desire was there, looking down at her lips...And if I have the bad luck to look up back into her eyes, I will be petrified. I just look at my feet.

"We shouldn't..." my voice break, betraying my wants.

"I know," she steps back and I could finally look back up, repeating to myself that we couldn't do this here. "Let's finish the day and then we can take back this moment somewhere more...Private," she winks and I nod smiling back.

Okay! I know, this chapter is REALLY short, but I don't have so much time to write more and I got stuck. School has restarted and I won't be able to write as much as before... Sorryyyy!
