My Brothers Roommate

I grabbed my bag off the plane looking around as I stretch. I thanked the pilot helper as I see my brother holding a sign with my name, I yelled his name happily to see him as I dropped my bag hugging him. Its been two years since I've seen him since he moved to New York, and since it was the summer I could stay the whole two months. He hugged me back tightly, he then looked at me as he grabbed my bag. As we walked out of the doors I smiled a little wind made me shiver, he smiled at me as he put my stuff in the trunk. As he got into the car he turned the car on the hot air blowing through his vents. 

"How are you little sis" I turned to him 

"I'm not little anymore I'm seventeen" he chuckled as we drove off. I put my headphones in as the drive was only twenty minutes away from the airport. As we stopped I got out slowly taking out my headphones as I walked to the back grabbing my bag, as he unlocked the door I heard another voice. We walked in as I looked around amazed as I saw a figure, he was talking to someone looking at the window. My brother turned to me sadly 

"sorry that's my roommate he is eighteen and got kicked out of his moms house" I looked up at him  "its okay I'm having problems with dad" he suddenly looked at us and sighed "I have to go mom...okay bye" he hung up the phone putting it in his pocket. I smiled at him,

"hi I'm Lorenzo  your brothers friend slash roommate" "I'm his sister Elie" he smiled as he walked into his room shutting his door softly. I sighed as I looked at him "soo where is my room" I asked, my brother walked into the back opening a door where a bed was and tv on a brown shelf. "Right here I hope you don't mind its right by Lorenzo's" I looked at him "its okay I will be fine" he sighed and walked away as I stood their standing in the doorway as I put my bags on the bed. As I was almost done unpacking it was evening by then, my brother left to get Chinese take out my favorite. I opened my door as I walked out Lorenzo going into his room, we almost bumped into each other. I stood there as he stood there to, 

"uh...sorry" I said slowly blushing a little looking up at him. 

"Eh don't worry about it" he said smiling at me as he walked into his room. I sighed as I walked away  hearing his door shut I grabbed a glass of water as I walked back to my room shutting the door.

Finally the food arrived my brother and Lorenzo and I ate at the table, we all talked me and Lorenzo made eye contact a couple times. Each time I blushed and smiled, 

"who wants to go to the movies tonight" my brother asked we both looked at him "sure I'm down" Lorenzo said "same here" I replied smiling.

 Later that night I got ready for the movies it was surprisingly warm so I dressed in mom jeans and a crop top as my hair was in French braids. As we rode in my brothers car I saw Lorenzo look back at me a couple times, as we payed for everything we walked in the theatre. He opened the door as  I walked in thanking him, I met my brothers girlfriend. I sat by Lorenzo as my brother girlfriend Jess sat by him, me and Jess were in the middle and the boys sat on the edge of us, (my brother is twenty) the movie went passed slowly as I started to fall asleep a little. I could tell he was looking at me a couple of times, when we got in the car Jess got in the front because she was spending the night, me and Lorenzo were in the back. I started to fall asleep while on my phone, I woke up to  Lorenzo quietly telling me we were home. I woke up my head on his shoulder, I blushed looking away as we got out. I went straight into my room awake from taking a power nap, I got my PJ's on as I sat on my bed writing my song,  I got out my guitar. I started to hum quietly trying not to make Lorenzo annoyed, I then put it down as I fell asleep. 

I woke up to the sun shining on my face, I looked around realizing where I was. I walked out to the kitchen,

"I'm alone" I sighed as I heard talking. It was coming from Lorenzo's room, I walked to his room quietly listening to his conversation. 

"Mom I don't care anymore you and dad can split up I really don't care, you guys have put me through hell and back so many times" I gasped as I covered my mouth. "Hold on mom I will be right back" I gasped again as I ran into my room shutting the door quickly, he looked around as he shut the door again talking. I sighed as I laid  on my bed closing my eyes. I woke up to knocking on my door, I looked at the door getting up stretching on my way to the door I opened it. By my surprise it was him, he was standing there his jet black hair pulled back, he was smiling, I smiled back. 

" hi" I slowly said to him 

"hey were you at my door like ten minutes ago listening to my conversation" when I lied I looked guilty because I hated lying to people I enjoy being around. 

"N-no" I stuttered like a idiot... "I'm sorry I was I didn't know what was going on I thought I was alone" he looked at me sad "don't worry I wont tell your brother you were listening to me...and your cute when you stutter" he walked back into his room. I stood there my eyes opened widely at what I just heard, I smiled and shut my door giggling. I heard him chuckle a little behind his door, I grabbed my guitar again as I went outside on my balcony, I sat down in a metal chair I started to sing quietly as I played my guitar. A tear ran down my face slowly as I sniffled wiping it away with my sleeve, 

"you okay" 

I looked to my left Lorenzo was standing there.

 "you know some say the left eye means sadness and the right eye means happiness tear. Are you okay because your first tear is from your left eye?"

 I looked at him still sighing, 

"yeah I'm okay thanks for asking" I smiled slowly 

"your singing is beautiful.. you should sing for me sometime", 

 I blushed a little smiling. 

"I  will if you want me to but I'm not the best" 

"well that's okay...chou" he said as he walked back inside closing the door behind him. I whispered "goodbye" slowly as I got up leaving the door open as I sat down  on my bed going to sleep.
