Levi's POV

My mom left for work that's when the tears started flowing  I could only cry when my mom wasn't around she uses it against me. After crying awhile I put my shoes on and my sweater then I grabbed my knife. I headed out  of the house and looked at the stars as I walked to the park while listening to music as I walked out of my neighborhood I took the secret path to the park. It's an old dirt trail no one uses it except me and my friend. I got to the park and sat on the swings I go here when ever I can it's my safe space even though it's the middle of the night. I started to swing myself back and fourth while looking at the stars till I saw my best friend Ashton he smiled at me and waved I smiled back . Ashton is my best friend since 6th grade and now I'm in 11th so 5 years. "Earth to Levi " Ashton said as he waved his hand in my face .  I shook my head "hmm what did you say I spaced out again" I said . " I told you that the school is inviting transfer students from sunrise middle school" Ashton said. "Oh boy I went to that school the kids are the worst " I said while trying to swing higher than Ashton . " really I'm sure there not that bad " Ashton said as he gave me that look that said your being over dramatic. " oh they are trust me well I gotta go see you tomorrow " I said. "Ok bye and make sure to get some sleep you idiot Ashton said . "What do you mean get some sleep I got some sleep yesterday " I said sheepishly. "Yea sure you did Levi sure you did" Ashton said as he rolled his eyes and I stuck my tongue out at him and headed home . Once I got home I stayed up all night watching movies and eating popcorn. I look out of the window "oh shit " I saw the sun was coming up "welp so I could still get 2 hours of sleep " I fall asleep . Until the dreaded sound everyone hates wakes me up the iPhone alarm my moms still at work . I get up  and look in the mirror ew I say I put my daily makeup on and put my clothes on then I head out the door . I went to the park again to ditch my first two periods which are history and English. my school is near the park so I can here when the bell rings . As soon as I hear the  bell ring signaling 2nd period is over I head to the school and walk into the office. I grab a tardy slip and head to science. I meet Ashton in the hall "I'm not dead Ashton" I say " let me guess you ditched again" Ash said (ash is Ashton's nickname). "You bet and don't worry I went ahead of the class next week so my grades won't go down" I say as I hug ash.
"Alright lets go to class Levi and stop hugging me I can't breath" I let go and walk to class to him I sit next to him in the cozy chairs. "Hello class  as you all know we have transfer students so could they come to the front please " the teacher said as a couple of kids come up one in particular stares at me  "hey my names jay and I hope we can be great friends " jay says as he says the last part he looks at me and winks  I scrunch my nose up and turn to Ashton "did you see what he did " I say "yes I did Levi yes I did" ash says " hey ms.popus I saw Levi talking to Ashton and I think he's to big  of a distraction to her " jay said as he looked and me and smirked as I glared at him " why thank you for letting me know Ashton please move" ms.popus said  as jay sat next to me "hey pretty girl " jay said  I roll my eyes as the 2nd new student started talking " hi I'm ella and I hope to make many new friends "  the rest of the kids went up and then the class ended lunch rolled by and I sat next to ash " he was flirting with me the whole entire class my god " I say ash laughs " maybe you should give him a chance Levi he could be really nice" ash said "haha fat chance "
