The New Guy at Beacon Academy

*(Y/n)'s pov*

After Ozpin told me that Salem was trying to free Mundus from the demon world I followed him back to Beacon Academy. As we entered the courtyard though I saw a group of guys picking on a rabbit faunus so I decided to walk over.

*With team RWBY*

Team RWBY was currently in the courtyard talking with team JNPR when Blake saw CRDL picking on Velvet. She frowned which caused the others​ to look at what she's looking at. Pyhrra frowns as well. "How is he even still here?" Yang said a little frustrated. "Despite being a Meathead he's still a capable fighter! That's why!" Weiss said with her arms crossed. "Someone should really do something about him!" Pyhrra said. "Agreed!" Yang said cracking her knuckles. "No Yang! We don't need you going and getting yourself expelled!" Weiss said. "Oh come on ice queen! Your actually okay with this?" Yang retorted. "No I'm not. But if you go around starting fights on campus then you'll have to deal with Goodwitch!" Weiss said causing Yang to shiver slightly remembering the last time she got in trouble. "Good point. Then what should we do?" Yang asked. "Oooo! We can break their legs!" Nora said enthusiastically. Ren put his hand on her shoulder. "Nora no!" He told her and she frowns. "Hey who's that guy?" Jaune said pointing to a guy wearing a red coat. "No clue." Ruby said. They watched as he walked over to Cardin and he pulled his hand away from her rabbit ear. "You know it's not nice to put your hands on a lady!" He said to him. "Lady? All I see is a freak!" Cardin retorted. "The only freak I see is standing in front of me!" The guy in the red coat replied. Cardin growled and threw a punch at him but he blocked it and kicked him in the gut sending him flying into a tree. "Whoa! He's strong!" Jaune said. "Yeah he is!" Ruby replied. He then turned to Velvet. "You okay?" He asked her and she nods. Cardin growled as he got up and pulled out his mace and charged the guy in the red coat. Velvet saw him but before she could warn him a gunshot rang out and then a loud crash. Cardin froze in his tracks in fear as blood ran down his cheek from where the bullet grazed his cheek and then hit a light pole and blowing the base of it apart causing the light pole to fall over. Cardin was just staring at the back of his head in complete fear as he didn't even turn around to fire his gun. The guy in the red coat turned to look at him. "Beat it!" He said to him and Cardin took off running. "That. Was. SO COOL!" Ruby said excitedly. Yang shook her head with a smile at her sister's antics. That's when they heard a familiar voice. "What's going on here?" They heard from their left and looked to see Professor Goodwitch with Nate following behind her. The guy in the red coat just shrugged. "Just dealing with a pest is all." He said to her. "And who are you?" She asked him as Ozpin walks over. "Don't worry about it Glynda. I'll take care of it." He said to her and she sighed and looked at him. "Alright." She then walked off as Nate walked over to Ruby and asked her what happened while the others walked over to the guy in the red coat. "That was rather impressive." Pyhrra said to him and he smiled. "Thanks. I aim to impress!" He replied. "So who are you? You don't look like any of the students from here." Jaune said. "Well that's because I'm not a student here. Not yet anyway. My name is (Y/n) Redgrave." He said introducing himself. "Nice to meet you. My name is Pyhrra Nykos and these are my teammates. This is Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie." She said pointing to them. Ren nods. "Nice to meet you." He said. "Hiya." Nora said. "And this is our team leader Jaune Arc." She said pointing to Jaune. "Umm hi." He said to him. "Nice to meet all of you." (Y/n) said. "Same to you." Pyhrra replied and (Y/n) looks at the four girls and the wolf Faunus. "And we're team RWBY comprised of me Ruby Rose as team leader!" Ruby said excitedly. She then calmed down and looked at him. "And yes that does get confusing!" She said to him. He nods and looked at the other three girls. "I'm Weiss Schnee of the Schnee Dust company. It's nice to meet you." She said. "Blake Belladonna. Thanks for helping Velvet." She said to him. "No problem." (Y/n) replied. "And I'm Yang Xiao Long and I'm also Ruby's older sister." Yang said to him and (Y/n) raised an eyebrow and looked between the two. "Sisters?" He asked and Ruby nods. "Mmhm." She said as Yang spoke up. "Well half sisters. Same dad different moms." Yang explained. "I see." (Y/n) said before looking at the wolf Faunus. Ruby smiled and hugged him. "And this is my boyfriend Nate!" She said causing Nate to blush slightly but no one could see it do to his mask and hood. (Y/n) nods. "I see. Well it's nice to meet all of you but I need to get going. Ozpin is expecting me in his office." (Y/n) said. "Alright. See you later." Ruby said before the 9 students walked off. (Y/n) then headed to Ozpin's office.
