We continued to walk around, taking in what Coach said. His idea was going to the mall, which wasn't too bad, the only thing bad about it was having to travel by foot.

I'm glad that I was wearing these winter style boots, I used them most of the time when I was out casting news so I didn't have to worry about my feet killing me.

I let the boys fight the zombies, I still needed to get a hang of using a firearm, especially the pistol I was struggling to hold in my hands. I kinda wished I was like Nick, using a melee to kick zombie ass. I better keep an eye out for one of those.

Ellis was having a blast, he was gunning down infected, left and right like he was playing a god damn video game. He even taunted afterwards, it was really silly seeing him jump around like a little kid.

He was like a man child, I never seen one of those before well, until now. "Ellis, honey, you need to be careful" I said with just a little bit of worry. "Ah man, don't worry Ro, this one time me and my buddy Keith were out huntin' and we almost shot each other but it's alright, no one got hurt" The kid just went on with a story, it was short lived when Nick commented "Now is not the time Hick".

I couldn't believe this guy, he was kind of rude for no reason. I looked over at him, I just observed him from where I was. I liked his style, his suit and everything, It was kinda hot and I did really admire his appearance. I hoped that his personality he was giving off right now would change, then he'd be perfect. I noticed another thing, he had rings on his fingers, damn I hope those are just for decoration.

Coach walked in the way of Nick, I almost opened my mouth and told him to move out of the way but I looked up at him. I got a better look at this guy, he had a uniform shirt on, I recognized the abbreviation of letters, he must've worked at the high school just around the corner. That's why his name is Coach, glad I got that covered because I was starting to wonder why would any parent name their kid 'Coach'. He looked at me and noticed I was staring. "What's wrong?" he asked with such a tone, as if i was looking at him because I found something wrong with him.

"Nothing, sorry" I said walking by him. Ellis was up ahead "You know, they got a gun shop up ahead! We can resupply there and I could get something better than this Desert Eagle I got here" The look on Coach's face said it all. He was liking the sound of stopping by this so called gun store.

"A gun store? I'm not really a gun person but I can try it out" I said smiling at Ellis. "It's easy, I'll show you how to aim one!" He offered. "Sure Ellis, anytime" I haven't really used the pistol I've been carrying this whole time. I am afraid to use it, I don't like this kind of violence, especially since I covered it a lot on TV.

After walking down the road and into a building that seemed to be the only way around the gates that were up, we headed down stairs, finally I found something I am able to use rather than using the damn pistol. It was a fire axe hanging there on the wall, I grabbed it and held it. I was smiling and I turned around to face the other boys.

Coach and Ellis were already down stairs, so I ended up only facing Nick. This guy was staring at me, looking me up and down. "Can I help you? Nick?" I said raising and eye brow. "Just waiting on you, remember you're supposed to stick around me, I can't let you be a damsel in distress again" He gave me this cocky look, like he was being mean again. "I really want to call you an asshole, I really do" I said turning away from him and heading down the flight of stairs.

I walked out of the door, going back into an open road where the two were waiting. "What are you two waiting for? Don't worry about me guys, I'm right behind you" I said with smile as I followed the two again. Ellis held his pistol up and he held it out right in front of him as if he heard something. I was a bit far back, I didn't hear anything, but the news did mention something worse than the zombies. "What is it, sweetie?" I ask in a bit of a whisper.

Ellis turned around to face me, he just shrugged. Coach on the other hand kept moving, we heard growling. Not just any noise I heard of before but this was more louder, god I hope it wasn't something huge.

Right behind me was Nick, he came up ahead of us "What's the slow down? Keep moving"

"Hey uh, Nick you should be a bit careful there, I did hear of something worse out there than the common infected. You should wait for us, remember you're supposed to stay by my side, Nick" I smiled at him and winked. Maybe winking like that wasn't the best idea.

He just rolled his eyes at me and kept walking, we cut through a middle of a road. I saw blockades that CEDA put up to keep shit under control. Nick found a way over though, he used a ladder that was connected onto one of those trunk containers and he jumped down to the other side. I guess he's team leader now.

As soon as I got over that barrier, I saw something crawling over. Nick saw it too and was backing up. It growled loudly and looked ready to pounce. "What's that?" Ellis asked. I knew exactly what the hell that was.

It jumped up, screaming as it pounced over at Nick. Man have I never seen any of us fire our weapons faster. "It's a Hunter! Get it off of him" I said pulling my axe out and running over, shoving the damn thing off of the poor guy. I closed my eyes and hacked the hell out of it. It yelped and the Hunter's body dropped. Ellis ran over and helped Nick onto his feet.

"Damnit Nick, you needa learn to stick with us next time, listen to what Ro' was saying and stay by her side. We don't want ya to get hurt" Ellis laughed, finding this scenario a bit funny. "OH haha, very funny. Get the hell away from me and stop laughing" Nick said walking away, well more of him just limping.

I walked over to him and followed him up some steps. He entered a building "You feeling okay?" I ask, he looks like he is in bad shape. "Yeah, don't worry about it" he said as he kept on going, he made it up another set of steps. Watching him go out on his own made me feel kinda bad for him, deep down a part of me wanted to help him or bandage him up but another part told me to keep my distance. I didn't want him to yell at me or anything if I kept bothering him, that was one thing I didn't want to do and that was to get on his bad side. I spaced out a bit, thinking about it but I was brought back. Coach put a gentle hand on my shoulder "is everything okay?" he asked and I smiled. I didn't answer him or anything, I just nodded my head and kept going.

Nick was standing by a table, he held up a more bigger gun. I come closer and I see that the table was cluttered with ammo and better weapons. Nick grabs one of the fire arms and hands it to me with a smirk. I felt my insides twist and turn, his expression made me feel funny. I stood there for a good couple of seconds before taking the fine automatic out from his hands. "Thanks?" The word just slipped out of my mouth, sounding more like a question than a gratitude.

Ellis was looking at me, he somehow seemed to know what I was feeling and gave me this look. I couldn't describe it but it made me walk right outside and past Nick. I took a deep breath and noticed my face was red. I didn't have to look in the mirror to notice but I could just feel it. My face felt hot and I tried to shake the feeling away.

I looked back and saw the three boys taking care of themselves. Nick was helping himself to what was on the table, Ellis was putting in ammo into his shotgun and Coach was healing himself with his health kit. I just stood there and looked back outside, I was standing on this ramp of some sort and there was a bus right underneath me. I could easily just climb down to the road below but I couldn't go on my own, I'd get hurt or even worse so I waited because there was a swarm of just infected walking around aimlessly.
