soulmate sans (sans x reader)

Chapter 1

(yeah so this is my first story on wattpad in general so I hope you like it.)

It had been 3 years since the monsters were freed from the underground. I lived alone in my small apartment, my parents had "passed" away when I was a kid and I didn't have many friends. so many things had changed, some people went to live in the underground and some monsters decided to come live on the surface. So many new businesses, that monsters owned, opened. For example my favorite restaurant Grillby's. The guy who owned the place was some sort of fire monster. He was honestly a pretty cool dude and made the best burgers and fries. I went there quite often. 

*(y/n pov)*

I walked into Grillby's hungry as ever I walked over to the bar and sat down. Grillby walked up to me. "Hey (Y/N), the usual?" he asked me. I nodded and he went to make my food. "Heads up (Y/N)!" he yelled to me as he slid a glass of coke down the bar. I caught it an I honestly felt petty cool. I popped of the metal bottle cap and took a sip of my drink. As I was sitting there a guy walked up to me and leaned against the counter top. 

"Hey there beautiful, the names Cole." He said in a cocky tone. I looked at him, he was Tallish and had platinum blond hair. He was wearing tight jeans and a red and black flannel shirt. "You wanna go have some fun, beautiful?" he asked leaning closer to me grabbing my chin with his hand. 

"ummm no thanks" I said pushing him away from my face. "I'm good." 

Cole grabbed my shoulder with a tight grip, I tensed up because I knew I was in a bit of trouble "I think you want to." he whispered in my ear just enough for someone else next to me to hear.

"Hey pal, she said no." a low voice said sternly without looking up. I looked over towards him, he was wearing a blue winter coat with white fur around the hood, black shorts with a white stripe down the side, and uh white socks with pink slippers? But then I noticed he wasn't human, he was, in fact, a skeleton.  I had never actually seen a skeleton in real life 

Cole dug his fingers into my shoulder even more. I winced and the skeleton definitely noticed I was in pain. "Hey PAL," Cole said mocking him. "Why don't you stay out of this, this doesn't concern you, buddy, it's none of your business." 

The skeleton finally turned to face us, his eye sockets were dark with small white pinpricks and he had a smile plastered on his face but you could tell he was serious. "Actually it does concern me that you're hurting this young lady here, so yes it is my business." The skeletons left eye started to glow into a bright blue iris and his other eye disappeared as a large skull appeared above his head. "I'm not gonna say this again. Let. Her. Go." he said sternly. 

"Ok! Ok! Jeez." Cole said as he threw his hand in the air like he was offended. Before he left he squeezed his fingers into my shoulder even more as he leaned over and whispered in my ear, "I'll be back for you when your knight in shining armor isn't here to protect you." when he let go he pushed your head and hard. My head slammed down on the granite contour top. I sat up and saw the skeleton flick his finger and as he did I turned to see Cole get knocked on the head by a floating bone. He screamed like a little girl and ran out of Grillby's.   

The skeleton turned to me, his sockets now just had little white pinpricks instead of the one glowing iris in his left eye. "Hey are you ok?" he asked with worry in his eyes.

I smiled at him reassuringly "I'm fine, just a little bruised" I said rubbing the small bump on my head. "Thank you by the way. My names (Y/N)." I say as I held out my hand.

"Sans." he replied shaking my hand.
