Chapter 9

Y/N PoV

I spent about an hour in the kitchen talking to Kazuko  and drinking green tea before I felt my arm beginning to burn. Kazuko noticed my pain and rushed me to his dad.

"Ah! Y/N, come on sit down. Here, drink." Nino sat me down and gave me a creamy liquid which was the same colours as his eyes. 

I gulped the drink down, and the pain in my arm was reduced. I sighed in relief and stared at my dad, silently asking him if we could leave. He shook his head and sat back on the couch with his phone at hand.

Nino sat down in front of me and sighed. 

"Well, we now know that one of your quirks work. That was the sign of your fire element."

My eyes widened. 

"Wait, so what would happen for the other quirks?"

"Your water one will either freeze up your arm or your arm becomes damp. The earth one would have some slight moss growing on your arm. The wind quirk would just cause a draft and the metal element would cause your skin to harden and for your last quirk... we'll have to test it." 

I protested straight away. "No! You can't make me kill something!" I cried out.

"Once you've 'killed it' you know that you can revive it right?" He replied with a blank look on his face. I made an 'O' shape with my mouth and nodded. 

I felt my arms become cold, I looked up to Nino who just poured me another drink. This happened three more times and half an hour after that, Nino broke the silence.

"Uh, I guess it's time to test it out. Who wants to volunteer?" 

My dad stepped forwards and tears sprang to my eyes.

"Dad, no. What if I do actually kill you..."

"I'll do it." Kazuko said. "She doesn't know me well enough to be attached to me, and I don't mind." I stared at him like he had grown two heads.

"Are you sure..?" He nodded and stayed still. I stood up and gulped.

I walked over to him and stared at his mismatched eyes. I placed my hand over his heart which was speeding up. I smiled up to him and thanked him. I laid my head on his chest and focused on stopping his heart.

His heart beat slowed beneath my hands and I looked up to his eyes. They were becoming less lively and started to droop. I closed my eyes shut and tried not to think about it. 

I can revive him. I can revive him. I can rev--

His heart beat completely stopped and his body started getting heavier. I panicked and squealed. Tears sprang to my eyes as I looked at Nino, his eyes were darker. The look that was on his face was a mixture of multiple emotions. Anger, sadness, disgust, betrayal. He stared at me and glared. After all, I did just kill his son.

I laid Kazuko down on the floor and my tears dropped on to his jumper. 

"Revive him. Now." Nino growled at me. I felt my hoodie being pulled into him and he grabbed the front of it. Before he could say anything, I screamed at him.

"This was your idea! Let me go now so I can fucking revive him!" He let go of my hoodie and placed his hands on his face.

I ran back over to Kazuko and placed both hands over his heart. I focused on his heart when I heard the door slam open.

"Where is he? Move." Mirai pushed me out of the way. She started feeling for a pulse and when she couldn't find one, she pinned me to the floor and screamed.
