A Walk In The Park.

I helped her clean up our breakfast mess in silence. Not the awkward kind of silence where you're debating on whether running for the hills or not. It was the kind of silence where it's comfortable because you're both in such deep thought that you're not really worried what the other is doing.

I handed her the last dish and watched her as she placed it in the dishwasher, turning it on. I heard a quite sigh and watched as she turned around smiling. I couldn't help but smile right back; her smile was sort of contagious. "Well its only 12:30, what do you wanna do today?" she asked slightly rocking back and forth on her heels. I mimicked her actions a bit more dramatically and said in the girliest American accent I could. "I don't know, what do you wanna do?"

This caused her to fall into a fit of laughter; the kind where you bend over to clutch your stomach and your face turns red. I couldn't help but start laughing too. She had some sort of happiness to her that spread right through me without giving me a chance to hesitate. For a while we just stood there laughing in the kitchen together like we'd been friends our whole lives. It was refreshing really. And if I could pick any moment in time to freeze forever, this moment would definatly be in the top three.

After a few minutes we regained our sanity and just stood there smiling at each other... never breaking eye contact. She looked at me through those bright blue-green eyes and finally spoke, "wanna go for a walk?" she suggested smiling. "Sure." I added smiling as well.

I waited for her in front of the door as she grabbed her phone, keys and jacket. I had nothing really to gather, just the white t-shirt I was wearing and the dark blue pants. "You ready yet, Olive?" I asked as I watched her walk up to me with her head down staring at something on her phone. Once she heard my voice, her head shot up with her trademark smile about to say something, but quickly stopped herself. Her smile instantly turned to a frown and I gave a confused look as she told me she'd 'be right back.'

I waited another five minutes for her when I finally heard her footsteps nearing. She popped around the corner with a brown corduroy jacket, smiling. "Didn't want you to get cold and then be sick." she said handing me the jacket which I gladly accepted. "Then I'd be the one tending to you and making you soup." She finished sticking her tounge out. "I actually wouldn't mind that." I said sheepishly which made her blush a bit.

We walked out the door and I stuffed my hands into the jackets pockets. It was a bit chilly out today. But what can you expect when you live in Ireland? I sighed as I looked up at the clouded sky. The blue-gray color always made me feel at peace. It reminded me of my childhood. When I was about seven years old, my mom and I would always go outside on days like these. We would lay down on the slightly dewy grass and stare up at the sky. Eventually we would start putting our imaginations to the test and point up at the clouds and make them into animals and mythical creatures.

I smiled and faced my head to the ground, watching my feet scrap against the street. I became mesmerized in the motion and was soon lost in thought; that is until a little Olive's voice interrupted me.

"Ya know Niall. You look familar to me. Like I've seen you before yesterday. Strange, huh?" she said as her cheeks turned red from either being embarressed of her completely understandable question, or the wind freezing her cheeks dry. "Not strange at all." I said cooly. "You probably have seen me before." I turned to smile at her.

She gave me a confused look, "but from where? I know I've never seen you around here, I just can't put my finger on it." she said squinting her eyes and placing her fingers on her chin. "Have you read a magazine? Or watched The X- Factor?" I asked giggling slightly to myself.

I bursted out laughing when her head slowly turned towards me with wide eyes and her lips shaping the perfect 'O'. "You're with that boy band that Simon Cowell put together.... uhh." She said closing her eyes tightly and snapping her fingers trying to remember. She was just about to guess the name of our band when someone caught me off guard by screaming my name. My head turned to their direction only to be greeted by none other than... well you guess who.

I watched as the boys pushed theirselves out of the small taxi and towards me. I ran my hand through my hair to try and relieve my stress which was quickly rising. I had a lot of explaining to do. A lot in which I don't want too. I'd have to start off with where I left off this morning with Olive, I didn't want to relive that memory a third time.

"Niall, where have you been?" Zayn asked as they approached me and Olive. "And what happened to your face? Are you okay, mate?" he asked seriously concerned.

"Who's that?" Harry asked pointing to Olive.

"And why haven't you called us?" Louis added.

"Where's your mom? How come you're not with her?" Liam asked scrunching his eyebrows together.

"Did you get in a fight man?" Zayn asked still curious as to why I looked like I just walked out of a UFC match.

"Where have you been staying?" Louis added still stuck up on his subject.

So many questions at once. So many things I didn't want to explain. The memories of the past few days flooded back into my mind making my eyes water. Things were starting to get dizzy. The boys and Olive were just blurs circling around me as a buzz found its way to my ears. I could only hear muffled noises under the loud buzzing sound as everything went black.

"What do you mean you found him crying outside at four in the morning?" I could hear one of the boys ask. I wanted to open my eyes and run away from them, but something was yanking me back from reality. I zoned back out as I heard Olive explain her answer in a muffled tone.

"Who did that to his mom?" another voice asked. "I don't know. We didn't get that far." Olive answered. I was still unable to move or see so I just laid there listening into their conversation. "Do you think it was the same person who did that to him?" a different voice asked, I think Liam's. "Yeah, I thought of that." Olive answered shyly. My body was starting to become less numb as I felt a cold rag on my forehead. I groaned and then heard a round of footsteps nearing me. "Hey, Niall?" a voice asked; Harry's maybe?

I started to move around to make sure the rest of my body was still alive as well. I started to blink constantly, the blur fixing itself with every blink. "Wh-where am I?" I asked placing a hand on my forehead as I sat up slowly. "What happened?" I asked groggily as I was finally able to see normally.

"We're at Olive's house, mate." Zayn answered, sympathy in his eyes. "You fainted on the sidewalk, caused us a great scare." he said smiling wearily. I groaned as I remembered everything and a huge headache appeared.

"You okay man?" Liam asked sitting next to me and placing his arm around my shoulder. "Hardly." I asked in all honestly. What did he expect me to say? 'Oh just dandy, Liam. Life's great, couldn't be any better man.' I rolled my eyes at the thought. My attention shifted to Louis who walked over to me with his arms crossed and eyes narrowed. "Care to explain?" he asked arching an eyebrow.

"Louis!" Olive whispered harshly hitting him in the arm. She turned towards me with sympathy in her eyes. "I told them what you told me this morning Niall. I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind." she said to me biting her lip nerviously. I nodded my head in relief. At least I didn't have to relive the memory again. "Thank-you." I told her.

"We need to know more." Louis sighed as he squated infront of me placing his hands on my knee's in a friendly manner. He looked me deep in the eyes and he said, "What's going on with you mate?" I sighed running a hand through my hair as I prepared myself to let out all my secrets I had tried so hard to hide.
