I lay on the couch watching the Big Bang theory as I waited for shawn to come home. He'd been at the studio everyday this week and hadn't been getting home until 11pm at the earliest.
Before he left this morning he'd promised he'd be back by 7 so that we could have dinner together at least once this week. I heard the door open and close, some shoes hit the floor, and footsteps approaching.
"Babe?" He called from the hallway.
"In here." I replied, not taking my eyes off the TV.
He smiled when he came in as he saw me. He took 4 big strides towards the couch before flopping straight on top of me. I let out a groan before saying "hi," in a strained voiced, "how was recording?"
He looked down at me and laughed as he saw the expression on my face, "it was great, we've got some amazing songs."
"That's great." I say as he leans down and kisses me. He kissed me all over my face and all down my neck. I laughed as he did this and pulled his face up so it was level with mine. He leaned in to kiss me again before moving and licked the side of my face. This made us both burst into laughter.
I sat up fairly quickly which caused shawn to topple off the couch and made us both laugh even more.
He suddenly smiled and said "I love you."
I smiled back and said "I love you too."
We ended up going out for pizza where shawn had taken me on our first date. We arrived home at 10pm but neither of us were tired so we stayed up until the early hours of the morning watching Disney films. During the beauty and the beast I fell asleep laying on shawn with my head on his chest.
He slowly picked me up, turned off the TV, and carried me upstairs to our room.
Shawn gently placed me on the bed and kissed the top of my head before muttering into my hair, "goodnight beauty."
I opened my eyes only very slightly before whispering "goodnight beast."
