As Hermione bit me, I felt almost no pain, until she injected the venom into my system. I tried to hold back the screams but I couldn't as Hermione held me down, increasing the pain as more venom coursed through my veins.
I still screamed as I tried to stop. After a while I focused on the sound of the clock ticking. Tick. Tick. Tick. I stopped screaming holding all the pain inside as my veins felt like fire and my body burned.
I had got to 172800 ticks. The pain stopped at 172809 ticks. 172809 seconds.
"Pansy leave now!" I heard a voice say. Hermione. My beautiful Hermione. She paused for a second. "Draco's heart just stopped." I knew this of course. I could no longer feel the pain. I opened my eyes when the footprints faded away and bolted upright, faster and more gracefully that I ever have done. "Draco." Hermione said smiling brilliantly at me. I could still see her fangs slightly. I would've never noticed has a human though.
"Hermione. Have your fangs always been like that?"
"Yes. That's what yours are like too. You need to be careful and selective with your hearing. Otherwise you'll hear every cricket for fourteen and a half miles." She said. I nodded and listened. I could hear Hermione's brain work as she thought. Quite literally now. "Do you know what gift you have yet, if any?" She asked as her eyes focused on me seeing if there was a change. Apparently there was as I could smell her arousal. She blushed.
"Hermione, surely there's not that much of a change." I said just to annoy her as I knew we could both smell her arousal.
"Shut up boner pants." She smirked. I rolled my eyes and checked anyway. She was right. Bigger than usually if possible.
"Hermione, why do I feel like I've never been more... Emotional." I set it as instead of saying, that I've never loved her as much, I've never gotten this aroused before, I never felt this happy before. And hungry. Oh shit.
"Your emotions are heightened. How do you think I felt when I had to deal with breaking up with you, not seeing my daughter, having to not fuck you immediately, pretending to hate you, having Ronald verbally abuse me?" She said, "My emotions where a wreck. I was all over the place. But I managed to keep a strait head somehow. Probably the thirst actually. Speaking of which, aren't you hungry?" She asked and my throat suddenly felt tight.
"Yes." I said my voice soft but masculine. I watched with new eyes and ears I could hear and see everything. My old memories looking dull and blurry.
"Lets go find you something to eat then."
"You didn't bring any?"
"No. I didn't know we'd be here this long and I didn't know I would have to turn you." She explained. Her voice was more. Just more. I don't know how to explain it. I watched as she stood more gracefully than as a human I would've realised.
"What have you been drinking?"
"Pansy got me a blood bag everyday."
"Oh." I nodded and then tried to walk but ended up running. "Fuck!" I exclaimed as I banged into the Hogwarts walls. I had blinked unintentionally. Hermione giggled behind me.
"Hermione, how do you even walk without running?"
"Easy. Just slow your body all the way down. As slow as you can go. One foot in front of the other." She explained. I tried to do everything she did. I failed multiple times.
"How about we go into the forbidden forest to this?" She asked me after half an hour, as students where starting to surround the corridors.
"What time is it?"
"Lunch." She explained. "You can smell it. Don't think to hard. You need to get away. Now!" She said. I bolted out of Hogwarts. I could hear Hermione behind me, then the footsteps stopped. Hermione was above my head not a moment later and in front of me smirking.
"Hermione love, I'm hungry." I complained. She rolled her eyes and told me to wait where I was. She came back ten minuets later.
"Sorry, I had to walk around the castle." Hermione said and handed me a blood bag. I drank out of it and it soothed the ache while not completely. "I'm going to try and limit your communication to people. Because it's like sticking a white hot branding iron down your throat. Not pleasant." She said swallowing another gulp of blood. My packet was gone. She sighed and downed the rest of it. She relaxed and then we begun the lessons.
~~~ - Three hours later.
I had finally mastered walking. I was slow and normal. Hermione had told me to keep blinking and breathing. Hermione was breathing too now that she had gotten used to being a vampire. She was no longer cold to me anymore, which was a relief.
"Now, the only negative side effect is that, well, we where bad for our sexual drives as humans, now we have no real reason to stop other than lessons. So we have to balance this out as best as we can."
"How about, I have you all to myself until we have to get dressed for school. We spend a little while with Blaise and Ginny, then I have you again. And repeat!" I goofily suggested. Hermione rolled her eyes, but I could tell she was thinking about it. "You considering this aren't you?"
"Where would homework and reading fit into this schedule?"
"Half an hour each after seeing Blaise and Ginny." I said and she looked like she was debating it.
"So, I guess we have to get all this learning done now don't we?" She said and I nodded. "So, I'm getting Blaise and Ginny, you will stay here. Veela blood, by the smells and tastes a Hell of a lot better than human." She smirked and blurred off. I sat down and held my wand in my hand.
