Sam's POV

I'm driving home from work and the rain is starting to get heavier.  'I'm so not looking forward to this weather' i say to myself.  Up ahead i see someone walking along the side of the road looking kind of lost.  They don't look like they are from around here.  I slow down a little and as i pass them i look in the rear view mirror.  'Whoa i could swear that is Josh Hutcherson' i say to myself.  I don't pick up strangers but i feel sorry for the guy whoever he is being out in this weather.  I stop the car and wind down the window.

'Are you ok do you need a lift somewhere' i ask him.

Holy crap it is him, he's soaked to the bone and is covered in mud like he's fallen down or been splashed by a passing car.  Of course i have to ask how he came to be in the middle of nowhere in a potentially dangerous approaching storm.

I feel really bad for him.  I'm a huge fan and i'd never be able to live with myself if i just dropped him off at a shitty motel.  At least my house was warm and cosy which is what he looked like he needed.  Plus he was Josh Freaking Hutcherson in the flesh.  I took him back to his car to collect some clothes and personal items before taking him to my house.

'Ok Josh so this is my place, welcome make yourself at home.  The phone is over there on the wall.  I'll go make us some hot chocolate, you look like you need some warming up.  Call out if you need me'.  I left him to call his parents and arrange to get his car towed.

'Hey thanks for all this' he said when i bought out a hot chocolate and handed it to him.  'You are really sweet you know most people would've dropped me off at the shitty motel'.

'Not your fans' i say.  'We'd never live with ourselves if something happened to you.  I smiled at him while i took a long sip of my drink and felt my dimples make an appearance.  Dimples can be as bad as blushing somettimes.

Josh took a long sip and smiled behind his cup as well.  Ok well i guess you'd like shower or bath so i'll just grab you some towels and you can put your bag in here.  I showed Josh to the spare bedroom.  'If you give me your clothes i'll put them straight in the machine for you.'.

I knocked on the bathroom door and yelled out.  'Hey Josh is there anything you don't eat'.

'No i eat pretty much everything' Josh replied.

'Ok cool, enjoy your shower'.

I put my CD player on and danced around while i cooked like i usually do forgetting i had a guest.

'Nice moves Sam'.

All i could reply back with was 'nice'.

Poor Josh i'm just staring as his chest in that tight t'shirt.

Dinner is ready i'll just plate up and... the power goes out and the thunder gets a little louder outside.

I guess we'll be dining by candle light then.  I go and start lighting up candles all over the place.  As we sit down to eat i'm thankful that i at least got dinner cooked before we lost power.

'See you wouldn't get this ambiance in a shitty motel' i say and we both laugh.

Another clap of thunder which felt like it shook the house a little.  Oh God i hate storms.

Josh's POV

Sam seemed really nice.  I'm glad i came back to her place.  It was a really cosy house with a bright fresh look about it and a really nice warm fireplace.  To tell the truth it was nice to have someone to talk to.  At the motel with the power out i'd be in the dark going quietly insane i think.  What i liked most about her was that she treated me like a friend albeit a friend i think she had a crush on maybe but a friend none-the-less.  It was nice i didn't feel like i was going to have to fend her off like some fans who think i'm their perfect match and sort of attack me.

After calling my folks and telling them what had happened i gave them Sam's number so they could contact me then I called a number to get my car towed to the mechanics.  Sam came out with a steaming hot mug of hot chocolate.  I was so cold i pretty much drank it in 3 gulps even though it burned my throat.  Dimples this girl had totally cute dimples hiding behind her cup when she smiled.  It was really adorable a bit like when you blush unintentionally.

So i've had a hot shower and changed into dry clothes and am sitting here in the candlelight with this cute girl eating a really nice home cooked meal.

She  wasn't wrong about the ferocity of the predicted storm.  I was jumping a little every time i heard thunder but the cute girl sitting opposite me looked terrified a couple of times.

She's been so sweet and hospitable to me maybe i can find a way to take her mind off the storm brewing outside.
