I was so tired of being depressed. I wanted to be happy already. Too bad that was fucking impossible since everyone was harassing me. I was tired of being alone at school with no friends and no boyfriend. I was a loner. I got called Emo, cunt, bitch, whore, etc every day. No one knew the real me. No one knew that on the inside, under the heavy make up I wore, I knew I was beautiful. Maybe, no one believed it, but I for sure did. I was hoping something would brighten my day, Anything.

My mom called me downstairs a few nights later. "Aubree, you have an letter on the counter. It's from some country radio." She said. "ohkay then." I said grabbing the envelope and taking it upstairs with me. I laid down on my purple zebra stripped comforter and opened the envelope. It said; "Dear Aubree, This is the Country Radio Station Wolf 95.9. We are writing you this letter because we want you to come See Eric Church live Friday night in Miami. He personally invited you himself. He knows what you have been going through and he would like to meet you. In this letter there is one ticket and one vip pass to meet him backstage. Hope to see you there! Sincerily; Country Wolf 95.9." Woah, I was the biggest Fan of Eric Church. I was defiantly pumped to go. Since I was going to a concert, It was time to change my style a little bit. I was gonna wear my only white tanktop i had and some jeans and my fox hoodie. I wasn't gonna hide in my shell anymore. It was time to change.

I drove to the concert Friday night in my Black Bmw. It was my baby. I never drove her to school. I didnt want people knowing me. Secretly, I'm rich. yeah. No one knows though. I live in a mansion with like 10 bedrooms and 9bathrooms and other shit. I also have a ton of designer clothing along with my emo clothing. I never wore the designer clothes. It was packed when I got to the concert. I parked somewhere close to the doors and got out. I walked to where the line started.

An hour later, I was inside and sitting down. Did I mention I had front row tickets? I was so pumped, you had no idea. The opening band was The Band Perry. I like them too. It was around 9pm when Eric Church came out. Shit, he was hot. I almost pissed myself, literlly. He opened with "Young and Wild." Throughout the concert, he would look at her, like he was singing to her. He closed with "Springsteen." "This song goes out to a very special girl that's here tonight." He said while looking at me, then started singing. "To this day when I hear that song, I see you standing there on that lawn

Discount shades, store bought tan, flip-flops and cut off jeans

Somewhere between that setting sun, I'm On Fire and Born To Run

You looked at me and I was done, we were just getting started

I was singing to you, you were singing to me

I was so alive, never been more free

Fired up my daddy's lighter and we sang oh

Stayed there 'til they forced us out

We took the long way to your house

And I can still hear the sound

 Of you saying, "Don't go"

 When I think about you

 I think about 17

I think about my old Jeep

I think about the stars in the sky

Funny how a melody sounds like a memory

Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night

 Springsteen

I bumped in to you by happenstance

You probably wouldn't even know who I am

But if I whispered your name, I bet there'd still be a spark

Back when I was gasoline and this old tattoo had brand new ink

And we didn't care what your momma think 'bout your name on my arm

Baby is it spring or is it summer

The guitar sound or the beat of the drummer

You hear sometimes late at night on your radio

Even though you're a million miles away

When you hear Born In The USA

Do you relive those glory days from so long ago

 When you think about me

 Do you think about 17

Do you think about my old Jeep

Think about the stars in the sky

Funny how a melody sounds like a memory

Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night

 Springsteen, Springsteen

 Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

 Woah-oh-oh-oh woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Funny how a melody sounds like a memory

Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night

 Springsteen, Springsteen, oh, Springsteen

 Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

 Woah-oh-oh-oh woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

 Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

 Woah-oh-oh-oh woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh"

Once the concert was done, I went backstage to wait for the whole meet and greet shit. The line was annoyingly long. I had one of his cds that I wanted him to sign. When I finally got to the front of the line, I was trying not to piss my pants. He looked at me and smiled. I was actually the last person in line. "So, you're a really big fan?" He asked smiling as he signed the cd. "Yeah, I love your music." I said. "Well here's a tshirt too." He said signing that and handing me both the cd and tshirt. "Thank you." I said smiling as I walked away. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked away.

I came home around 2am that night. I was in one of the best moods that day. Better than usual. "Wow, someone looks happy." My mom said. I jumped. I didnt expect her to be right there waiting for me. "Yep, It was a good concert." I said heading upstairs to bed. I got dressed into zebra stripped shorts and my Eric Church Tshirt then fell asleep.

When I woke up, It was around noon. I decided to go on my laptop and browse facebook. I had a bunch of notifications from people I normaly didnt talk to. I had over 100 friend request. Woah. I saw one status that said; "Wow! Saw Aubree at the Eric Church concert. She looks hot as all hell!" I smiled at that and read through the rest of the things. After I while I got bored with facebook and went to work on a story that Im hoping to get published. When It was around 8pm, I saved the document and decided to go get something to eat. My family and I all ate seperately, at different times. Dont ask why. We've always been that way. I think it's a little weird but it doesn't bother me anymore.

It was a few days later and I was watching Twilight with my cat when my blackberry went off. I had a new email. I was curious so I checked to see who it was. I almost dropped my popcorn on my lap when I saw who it was from. "Hey Aubree. It's Eric Church. I was just wondering if you would like to Join me on tour or something for a little while. I feel like you need to get away for a bit. I've talked to your parents, so it would be okay. Just respond to this when you see it. Thank you."

And I was packing to leave for a few months. I'd be back for a couple days to get more stuff or whatever. Then leaving for a year. I was definitely excited. Things Were changing.
