wish on the SKY

Once upon a time there was a village near a hill. It was a small village with 50 houses scattered around the green, whimsical with azaleas, daisies and other wildflowers growing everywhere.This village was mostly get it's livelihood from farming. The fruits and vegetables that grow here are more delicious and more sweet. It is said that moon goddess has given them blessings to prosper.. Hence the village name is  DALSUN

But this is not a story of a village it is a story of a young man.A young man who was loved by everyone. They loved him because he was humble and caring and always help every residents of Dalsun with a huge genuine smile.

Hoseok was his name. Yes his mom named him this because hoseok means Handsome, talented man who is truly a blessing...its not a lie he was handsome and a blessing to the village

He has a set of routine for his daily life. Wake up at 5 am, clean his house, put his duvet out in the sun, cook a light breakfast, eat it then start walking on a narrow dirt path that leads him towards the farm he work.. On his way he greets everyone .he help everyone especially this old woman ,Mrs Min to pluck scented flowers for her husband's grave.

He took extra caution while walking around the little duckling running arround his legs. He feeds dogs, cats, mouse and every animal he encounters.

He work in the farm with others, laughing and joking around with them. And at around 4 pm he went back home with some fresh plucked veggies for his dinner..

In his routine there was one thing that was very important to him and he will do it no matter what.

Star gazing.

After eating his dinner at 6 pm he goes outside his house ,sits on the boulder near by. And gaze upon the twinkling beautiful stars in clear dark sky. It was his favourite thing to do of all.

He knew which constellation is going to come in which month, the name of every star that was named.he knew everything related to them.. These stars hold his attention to the fullest and he love to give it to them as well. Hoseok never felt alone   when he was with his stars..

Night after night, month after month

August was the season when the villages were in festive mood, they give tribune to moon goddess and pray for her to keep blessing them. This is also the time to find suitors for the bachelor and bacheloretts,as suitors from other nearby villages came to be merry in the festival.

Mrs Min wants Hoseok to get married already he is a strong man and he needs a wife.But never in Hoseok's life anyone ever captured his attention.

Mrs Min sigh and said"hoseok ,look at that beautiful young lady, she is from the Hondou village, rumor has it that she knows everything,she cooks delicious meals too. Go talk to her".

Hoseok laughed and wiggle his eye brows"Mrs Min yes, yes she is beautiful but look at her handsome father, rumor has it that he still work at farm and is strong as bull what say, should i talk to him for you?

Mrs Min gives him a scowl and tried to hit Hoseok with her walking stick.. He ran away laughing.

Mrs Min pray that the boy stay smiling and maybe a maiden for him who will keep him smiling.

Hoseok was humming and gazing above as he always do ,but he was surprised to see something.There was a new bright and twinkling star on the left side of the sky.He was puzzled, he know about every star but how can there be a new unknown one ?

The star was extra bright and twinkled extra more.. It was mesmerizing for Hoseok.. He felt he was getting pulled towards it.

He name the star Eun-Kyung, meaning graceful gems

every day at evening he tell that star about what happened in his field, about how he played with the children, etc as if that star was a person and it twinkle a lil bit more as if its responding ..

Now that star has his full attention.

The star fell from the sky. Hoseok saw it falling.
The star came nearer and nearer and it's warmth enfolded Hoseok.

Hoseok woke up in his bedroom.wobbling
slightly he went towards his kitchen but he stopped.. He saw food in his table warm, steam  coming out...He cautiously went toward his kitchen only to find a woman cleaning dishes.

Hoseok screamed and fell backward... The woman looked at him startled with her hand on her chest.

"Wh.. Who are you. Why.. how .. What are yo..you doing in my hom..home?

"Eun-Kyung ,i am Eun-Kyung."

"Eun-Kyung?"

"i am the star ,you named me remember?"

Hoseoks eyes grew big at the realization that last night what
happened was real.

He took a shaky breath and crawl toward the chair to sit.

"Why are you here? you are a star now a woman? What is going on? "

"Hoseok i am here because of you. I am here for you,every evening you talked to me about you, about your life and then you named me.it made me so happy

Hoseok i fell.. I fell in love with you."

The irony !a star fell from the sky because she fell in love.

Hoseok dont know what to say or do. He ran!

He ran towards his field, ran away from his own home.He need to figure everything.

At evening he came back, still dont know what to do.

He slowly went inside only to see Eun-Kyung brushing her long black hair and humming. She was beautiful.,her skin was glowing, her eyes closed, long eyelashes ,rose like cheeks......small plump lips..... Hoseoks heart skipped  beats.

Eun-Kyung saw Hoseok and reached for his hand and without any thought Hoseok gave her.she pulled him and make him sit opposite her..

"Hoseok won't you going to tell me about you day"she smiled sweetly

He nod his head and told her everything but this time his star respond with words and not with mere twinkling. ..
