“Are you sure you heard an injured animal?”

The boy asked, messing with his fingers as he followed the white cat. The cat seemed to nod, turning back to look at him.

“Yes, Uni! It came from this direction!” The cat said, continuing on. Uni frowned.

“Maybe it was just in your head, Uni-Chan. I don't hear anything-”

“But I did! I'm the one with good hearing here!” She snapped at her human friend, prancing along. Uni sighed, deciding it would be best to just listen and follow for now. The cat turned a corner, quickly jumping. “See? It's a human!”

“A..a human?” Uni quickly turned the corner, noticing the red haired girl. There were signs she must've been moved, due to the fact that her legs seemed like they had broken- meaning she couldn't have ran or walked so far and deep into the woods. Plus, who would be leaning against a tree as if they had just been set down--?

Uni crouched down. The girl was unconscious, obviously- and it seemed like whoever took her here just...well, abandoned her. His brows furrowed, before he gestured for Uni-Chan to come over.

“Help me pick her up, we'll bring her back to the house-”

“Wait, really?” Uni-Chan seemed to hold a worried expression, one of her whiskers twitching before she helped lift the girl up. From there, Uni picked her fully up and the two set off to their home

The walk was a quiet one. One that consisted with a few whispers of worry from Uni-Chan, and Uni checking the red haired girl's pulse. Eventually, after a few minutes, they reached a small little cottage.

The cottage had a color scheme of pastel browns and various greens. Vines came down from the room, with flowers sprouting ever so lightly. It fitted the fantasy vibe all fantasy fanatics could only dream of.

“Who the heck is that?” The words spurted from the wolf who was lying in front of the door, his eyes narrowed.

“A girl we found out in the forest. She is badly injured, so we need to treat her, Duni!” Uni-Chan replied, mixed with a tone of cheer and concern.

Duni didn't seem convinced. He watched as Uni brought the girl in, his eyes still narrow. “You're really going to bring in some random girl?” Duni question, following after. When he got no reply, he kept speaking. “This will just be a repeat with what happened when you let-”

“Duni!” The cat screeched his name, and he only replied with a ‘what?!’ until he saw Uni's sorrowful face. Duni stayed silent, and exited the cottage.

Uni-Chan walked on up, hopping onto Uni's bed and curling up beside the red haired girl. “What do you think happened to her?” She asked, tilting her head as Uni walked over to his mini kitchen area, searching through the shelves.

“I don't know, but someone did leave her there at the tree. Maybe she got attacked by a wild wolf?” Uni suggested, biting his lip as he frantically searched through cabinets. He looked over at Uni-Chan and the girl for a moment. “What kind of injuries does she have, Uni-Chan?”

The cat blinked, scanning over the girl. The girl's leg was twisted and all scratched up with a few smallish cuts, and going upwards her clothes were torn to bits. She had a long cut on her right arm, along with quite a few bruises and scratches. She didn't seem to be having a good time from the anxious frown she had on, and squeezed shut eyes.

“Cuts on her leg, and a long cut on her arm.” She replied. Uni nodded, pulling out a rag, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and an ace bandage roll. He hurried over, examining the girl's cuts before getting to work on her arm.
