I shot out of bed,  the blankets falling to the floor and giving me a head rush. It was only two in the morning. I sighed and threw my legs over the bed, My feet made contact with the cold floor and I shivered.

I wrapped myself in a blanket and crept into the kitchen. I got a glass of water and grabbed a random book off of Aarons' shelf and went back to my room. I sat down and opened the book.

My eyes read quickly over every word. My mind absorbing every detail. It was nice, calming even. I finished the book and laid back down. Only an hour had passed, I felt better. My heart beat was slower.

I quickly drifted off. I woke up and went downstairs. Aaron was standing in the living room by the bookshelf. I walked over and showed him the book. “I was up reading it last night.”

“Thats a good one,” His face looked pained. “It was Haileys' favorite.” I didnt understand. “Hailey?” he sighed “My wi- Ex wife.” He said. “Im sorry the marriage didnt work out” “Acually she uh, she passed away.” He said, turning away so i was unable to read his expression.

I felt like an asshole now. I had to ask. “Im so sorry Aaron.” I said patting his back. He pulled away at first but then leaned back into it. “Its no problem.” He sniffled. “Were going to have to get going soon.” I nodded. “Ill go get dressed.”

I ran up to my room and threw some random clothes on, ran a brush threw my hair, put my shoes on, and rushed down stairs.

The ride was quiet. Not awkward, but quiet. Aaron looked, out if it. His features locked unmoving, unblinking. If it weren't for the steady breathing, you might think he was dead. I wondered how he could drive that way. Every turn he made was smooth and on point. I imagine he has the route burned into his brain by now.

We pulled up to the BAU and he pulled inti a parking spot flawlessly. I couldnt even do that full focus. He didnt move. I grabbed my bag and opened the door, still nothing.

“Aaron?” I asked. He snapped out if it with a breath. “Yes?” He looked at me his eyes piercing, but not judging. “Nothing.” I almost laughed.

We went inside and I saw Jj at a desk with a tall Man. I went over to her and she hugged me I hugged back. “Morgan, this is Alex. Alex, this is Morgan.” “Hi Morgan.” I said brighter than usual. “Hey.” He said with a smile on his face.

His presence made me comfortable, I feel safe. Its like a big brother figure. I didn't even know him but something told me we would have a brother-sister relationship, and he would be protective.

My conversion with Morgan was cut short when Spencer joined the group. “Whats up with Hotch today?” He asked looking up at his office. “He is acting strange.” Jj agreed.

I sighed “Well, I asked about someone named Hailey. He told me she passed then he started acting weird.” I told them.

“Oh,” Said Morgan, “Thats definitly a sore spot for him.”

“One of you could of told me that.” I sighed shaking my head. “Im sorry.” JJ said sympatheticly “I didnt even think about it.” The team nodded and slowly left to do there work. Soon it was just Reid and I. He touched my had slightly and shiver shot through my spine. “So do you maybe want to go out tonight?” He asked nervously.

I blushed and nodded quickly. “I would love to.” My mind raced what am I gonna wear? Where is he going to take me? “Great.” He smiled “Ill pick you up at 8.” He kissed my hand and walked away.

I got up and skipped to JJ's office. She had just hung up the phone. “JJ!” I cried unable to contain my excitement. She looked up and raised her eyebrow. “Reid just asked me on a date!” Her facial expression changed. “Im taking you shopping after work!” She said excitedly. I smiled and spent the rest of the day trying to contain my excitement.
