"Good morning, love" Killian said behind me after wrapping his arms around my waist and tenderly kissing my neck.
"Good morning" I replied smiling.
"It was a great night, don't you think?" He said. I felt his breath next to my ear, causing some tickles in my skin.
"A wild one, Captain" I giggled. Killian let me go and winked at me. "Now it's breakfast time" I said as I began to set the plates on the table.
"Oh, uh... Emma, I have to go" he rubbed swiftly his ear.
"Where?"
"There's a... business I need to solve"
"It has to do with the thing you're not telling me, right?" He nodded. How long was this situation going to last? "At least eat your breakfast. I prepared some hot cakes and chocolate. I know how much you love them"
"As you wish, m'lady" he said bowing and taking a seat.
---
"Breakfast was amazing, love. I'm definitely coming more often" Killian said as he stood up and opened the door.
"It will be an honor" I replied, helping him to put on the new leather jacket I had bought him. It was a modern one that fit perfectly with his new outfit: dark blue jeans and a gray v-shirt that made him look sexier. He didn't wear his pirate outfit. I still missed it sometimes, though. "See you later?"
"Of course" he gave me a quick smooch on the lips and grinned, closing the door.
It was all so mysterious. I tried to appear calmed about the topic but it was rather disquieting. What could he be possibly hiding?

After leaving Emma's house, I went directly to Mr. Gold's shop.
"Killian, hi" Belle said placing some objects in a glass cabinet.
"Morning, Belle. Your husband told me it was going to be ready today"
"And it is" said Rumplestiltskin appearing from nowhere. He handed me a small dark blue box.
"Open it" Belle said.
And there it was. A beautiful wedding ring, that I was going to give to my princess.
"It's perfect" I said.
"Well, it was Belle's design after all" Rumple smiled at her as she smiled back. I wondered if Emma and I looked like them when we were together.
No. Not really. We had our own style.
"Thanks"
"When are you going to propose?" Belle asked cheerful.
"Probably on Saturday night. I just need some strength to ask her" I admitted.
"Don't worry. Everything will be ok, mate" Rumple stated.
"How do you know? You had a vision from the future?"
"I hadn't. I just wanted to give you some cheers. I bet Miss Swan is going to accept." he smiled "Good luck, Killian" he stretched out his hand to me. That gesture was unexpected. The Dark One and I had buried the hatchet (not in my skull thankfully) but we weren't the best buds. Anyways I stretched out my hand as well to take his.
"Thank you" I grinned and kept the little box in one of my pockets. Now I just had to prepare my speech for the proposal.
The proposal. The speech. Emma. Bloody hell.
I'd never felt so nervous.

It was about 10 o'clock on a chilly Saturday. Storybrooke at night was lovely; the moon was on its highest peak. Killian and I were walking by the docks, holding hands.
"Remember the day we climbed the beanstalk?" He asked.
"How could I forget about it. Our very first adventure"
"Aye. When we got the compass and then you handcuffed me"
"First of all, I got the compass. Second, I didn't-"
"Trust me?"
"I was just scared to trust in someone new" I made a pause, thinking about the mistakes I had made before "But let's not remember the past, it's terrible!"
"Terrible? Do you think our first kiss was terrible?" Killian said, lifting his eyebrow.
"That's the only exception"
"And when I took you to your first ball?"
"Well, that's also-"
"When we returned from the past and you kissed me?"
"Ok, ok! It's not that terrible. It's about good moments" I smiled and squeezed gently his hand.
"And what do you think about the future?"
"My mother once told me that believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a powerful thing and that it's not always what we expect it to be, but that's exactly what makes it so special. I guess fate will decide which happy ending I'm getting."
"What if the key to your happy ending..." Killian stopped for a second. He looked somehow nervous "Involves a question and an answer?" I felt how he began to breathe faster.
"Have you been drinking rum?" I said as I let go of his hand.
"Hell no, I'm not drunk, Swan" he let out a small laugh.
"Then what's all that happy ending stuff about?" He closed his eyes and sighed. "Does it have to do with the thing you are hiding from me?"
Killian nodded. Suddenly he kneeled to the ground, taking out a small dark blue box which he opened. I covered my mouth with my right hand just as I caught sight of a wedding ring. His deep blue eyes were staring at me with such glimpse that made my soul melt as my heart began to beat faster.
"Emma Swan. I love you, you have no idea how much I do. I want to spend the rest of my life by your side. This can be the start of our happy ending, one in which we are together. We are quite the team, remember? So I want to ask you:
Would you marry me?"
I felt how tears were running through my face. I didn't even need to think about it twice.
"Yes" I answered.
Killian smiled and placed the ring in my finger. I bet he was about to cry as well. He stood up and pressed his soft lips towards mine.
"You have made me the luckiest and happiest man on Earth! In every realm actually!" He said shouting so everyone could hear him. He hugged me spinning around.
"Killian Jones!" I shouted as loud as he did "I love you!"
