Collins reclined in the sofa in his living room, just watching whatever was on the screen. Today it was The Office, and it was a rerun of an episode he saw last week. But he didn't mind. He couldn't really watch it anyway, there was too much on his mind...

Roni hadn't talked to him since going to her house the other day. Seeing her with Aaron...made his heart ache. Yeah he wants what's best for her and would just accept being her friend, but his brain created scenarios of what it'd be like to be only hers, if he had the guts to ask her out the first time he sprouted feelings..

Sudden creaking of the stairs took him out of his thoughts and he turned to see what it was. He smiled meeting eye contact with Devan, whom had a cheeky grin on his face.

Collins: (smirking) "What's that for?"

Devan: (now standing in front of the TV) "I'm meeting Nessa at the mall soon. She wants to find new outfits for her event with Roni next week."

Collins: "Why are you going though?"

Devan: (cocked) "Im helping her because I have a good sense of style.."

Collins: "I think you got that from me."

Devan: (playfully frowns) "You're right."

They both laugh for a moment until Devan begins to finish what he had to say.

Devan: "..yeah the real reason is I have to also look for a new tie for the event, you know since we're invited."

How could he forget?

Collins: (pretending to just remember) "Oh yeah totally."

Devan looked down hesitantly. The older one noticed this and grew worried.

Devan: "Do you..have plans for today? Or are you staying home by yourself?"

Their parents were both out of town so it was just the two of them for a while.

Collins: "Uh...well not today."

Devan: "Oh, then would you like to go to the mall with Nessa and I?"

Collins wasn't going to admit that he felt lonely being the only person without plans, with Roni also having planes at Aaron's family's house, but he didn't want to ruin his brother's date.

Collins: "No..I don't want to intrude. I'll be fine here."

Devan: (feeling his brother's sadness) "Bro, why would you intrude? You're my brother, I'd love for you to come with us."

Its not that he didn't want to go, it just felt weird being the third wheel with Devan and Nessa. Collins didn't want to be the single clingy brother..

What should he do?
