Casey

The day has comes, and I will never forget who I was before this happen. Right now, I'm walking down the dark alley, alone. The wind blows and gives me chills. It's so cold out here that you can just freeze anytime. I can sense someone behind me, the fast motion of someone walking behind me more like running. The alley starts to get more dark. Until...

"Wake up! For the love of God wake your ass up before I throw you a bucket of cold water." someone said.

"Alright I'm up!" I groaned and stretched my body.

"Do you know what time is it?!" my sister asked angrily.

"What?" I asked.

"It's 9 and we are super late for school and its all your fault." she said.

"I'm sorry, Jade. I overslept." I apologized.

"Whatever I don't care what's your reasons are." she started to walk away but then come back again "And I'm going out with Kent." with that she walks out of my room and slam the door shut.

I guess no school for me today, but what will I do? Come on, Casey. Think of something you can do today. After I realized that I got nothing to do I decided to go to the nearest bookstore.

The Oakwood Bookstore is the biggest bookstore in LA and it is owned by the Callaway's family. Lucky for me that I'm friend with their son, Matthew. This is a good thing because I got a discount for every book that I bought. Walking through the alley of every section I see that they had restocked a bunch of new books. New Harry Potter books are being display in front of the store since that are the bestsellers one. Suddenly my phone rang, and I pick it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Casey it's me, your father." my dad said.

"Hi dad! Why are you calling me?" I asked.

"Son, I need you to come home." he said.

"What's wrong?" I started to worried.

"Casey, your grandfather passed away this morning." he said

"What?!" I screamed and I'm sure all eyes are on me but I don't care.

"Come home, son." and with that he hang up.
