**so I saw this post on tumblr about the "don't touch her" is like the "we had a bonding moment" but lance remembers it and I came up with the best idea ever. I hope you like it.**

  Earth was finally safe from aliens, the atlas stood tall as the savior. Everyone in the garrison was already making plans to rebuild city's and finding every lost civilian.
The paladins sat in their hospital beds recovering from the most epic battle ever.
Pidges mom and Matt sat with her for most of the day until Matt was called to help the engineers, and Sam needed Colleen's help with something.
So she sat alone and thought back to everything that has happened.

What was the scariest thing to happen in all this?
Probably when we were captured by pirates and ezor grabbed me. I still don't want to think about what she could have done to me.
She sat quietly thinking about that time and something clicked as she put things together.
"Holy quiznak." She slowly gets up and walks down the hall.

"Miss Holt, you shouldn't be out of bed." Said a nurse.

"I'm feeling fine, I really need to see someone for a minute."

"Alright."

She gets closer to the room and hears voices, stopping she leans against the wall and listens.
"So what do you want to to do when you get out?" A woman's voice asked.

"I want to relax more without these tubes and IVs in me, and play video games with Pidge."

"That's the green paladin right? Her real name is Katie holt."

"Yeah, I feel kind of stupid for never knowing that. She assumed a name to get into the garrison to find her dad and brother. Man, that's pretty awesome of her." He laughs.
"She's so cool, and smart, she outsmarted Iverson you know, to hack the garrisons and get in." He continues.

"Wow, she sounds amazing. You sure seem very proud of her."

"Yeah." He hums happily.

"Someone is in love."

"What no I'm not?" His voice betrays him by cracking.

"That's not very convincing."

"Shut up Veronica, shouldn't you be doing something for the garrison."

"You're right, guess I'll get back to work."
Pidge backs away from the door and acted like she wasn't listening to the whole conversation.
She moves slowly with her head down, making her way to his room. Veronica was standing in the doorway and Pidge looks up at her.

"You here to see lance?"

"Yeah."

"Go on in." She smiles softly and walks away. Pidge knocks on the open door making lance look over from staring out the window. He has a slight blush on his cheeks, the one person he didn't think would come to his room, especially when he was just stuck in his thoughts about her.
"Hey, why are you out of bed?"

"Mom and Matt had to leave and I was left thinking to myself. I thought about lot." She says as she walks in.

"Like what?"

She sits in the seat next to his bed, "like when the pirates captured us. I was actually pretty scared when ezor grabbed me."

"Yeah, I was more angry at that." He clenched his fist.
She ruffles his hair to calm him and smiled when he looked at her.
"Why did you visit me and not Allura, or hunk?"

"I remembered that you tried to protect me. And I realized that, that was when I." She paused, her heart was beating so fast and felt hot under her skin. She was about to confess her love for him, what if he doesn't feel the same way? Could she handle the rejection?
"Pidge, pidge?"
She shakes her head not really listening to him.
"Katie." His hand found hers and held it. She finally meets his eyes, "What is it? Finish your sentence." He says softly.

"Um."
No regrets, tell him.
"When I thought back to that incident, you shouting 'don't you touch her' that was the moment I realized that, I was in love with you."

Silence filled her lungs as the words left her mouth. Lance stared at her like a deer in headlights.
"I just felt I had to tell you that, I know you don't feel the same." She stands but he holds her hand.

"You don't know how I feel." She looked at him surprised. "I like you a lot actually. I've never met someone so smart before, you know just how to say things for me to understand. You are so cute and kind and." He was cut off with her lips crashing to his.
She pulled away and smiled.
"Woah take me to dinner first." He joked.

"Ha dork."

"Hey you love this dork."

"I do, I really do." She blushed.

"I knew my dashing smile and charm would make you fall for me eventually."

She punches his arm and rolls her eyes.
"Don't ruin the moment."

"Sorry, I do that a lot."

"Well shut up." She kissed him again and his hand holds the back of her head as he deepens it.

**just a little thing that came to mind, this would have been a cute ending to season 7 and into season 8 of their relationship as a couple. **
