Mason Cody Beckett. That's the one who wanted nothing more than to curl up in a ball and die. He just sat down on his sofa, staring at the wall as he forced back tears "God I'm such an idiot. I should've just stayed quiet. He probably hates me now." He mumbled, fidgeting with his hoodie strings. He glanced down at his arms, which still had the scars of his childhood that he wanted to forget. He sighed and pulled his sleeves over his arms, mumbling something to himself before standing up. He walked to the middle of the living room and started pacing back and forth, stressed and suicidal. He just wanted to either scream or just flat out kill himself. Killing himself sounded better than having too much attention drawn to him. While he was alive at least. He mumbled under his breath and just kept pacing, still embarrassed and mad at himself "He definitely hates me now. It's all my fault. He'll probably never want to talk to me ever again. God I'm such a screw-up." He said, sadness and anger in his tone. He gripped his hair as he held his head down and continues to pace. After a while of pacing and putting himself down, he walked into the kitchen and splashed water on his face before staring down at the knife in the sink 'I could just do what I used to do to get rid of the pain...' He thought as his hand mindlessly moved towards the knife. He felt dizzy for a moment before yanking his hand away the moment it touched the weapon 'No! Not again! I can't!' He thought before quickly walking to his room and slamming the door as if he were trying to be his own parent and was punishing himself. He sighed and just curled up in a ball, staring at his feet in the marsh silence of his nearly empty room.

Joseph Conway. That's the one who wanted nothing more than to just run up to Mason and say 'I'm sorry' two thousand times. He was pacing back and forth as Lacy stared at him with her usual blank stare "Why do you even want to apologize to him? He won't accept it." She deadpanned "But-" Joseph said quickly

"But what?"
"But what if he does?"
"Then he does. Not my problem."
"You're no help, Lacy!"
"I know. No need to remind me."
"I can't do this!"
"Do what?"
"This."
"What is this?"
"APOLOGIZE!!"

Lacy laughed at her panicking roommate, causing him to get even more upset "What is it now?!" He said, his tone angered and panicked at the same time "You." Lacy responded before Joseph groaned and just went outside. He plopped down in the front yard and buried his face in his hands, mumbling madly to himself until he actually calmed down. He sighed and headed back inside, noticing the flowers and cherries Mason gave him just a bit ago that he forgot about 'Oh... I forgot those were there. I wonder what they taste like.' He thought before picking up the container of cherries and heading off to his room. He closed the door and sat on his bed, staring at the container before opening it. The scent of the cherries flooded the room and he flinched, surprised at how poignant the smell was before he picked up one of the cherries. He just kinda.... stared at it for a bit, as if he weren't allowed to eat it when he absolutely was allowed. He then just ate the cherry, taking off the stem in the process. The moment he bit down on it, the sweet taste of it covered his tastebuds and he could smell the cherry a little bit more than he already could. He was a little shocked at how sweet this store-bought cherry was, which made him laugh at himself. The moment he laughed though, he accidentally sucked some of the cherry juice down his throat and had a short coughing fit, still laughing at himself. Lacy came running in, a rare look of worry on her face "What happened?!" She asked, concern in her voice. Joseph just kept laughing, holding his hand over his mouth incase he spat the cherry out by accident. Lacy just rolled her eyes and walked out, leaving Joseph to laugh at himself like an idiot.

After a little while, he noticed that he had almost eaten all the cherries, seeing as how only three remained. He noticed this and quickly put the lid back on the container after he got an idea. He hopped off his bed and hurried outside, not seeing that it was raining so he instantly got soaked. He grumbled madly, but just ran through the rain until he got onto Mason's doorstep. He rang the doorbell out of near instinct and the door opened to show a rather hyper Mason. He smiled brightly up at his tall friend and just held up the container of three cherries. Mason was a little surprised at this "W-w-what?" He said quickly, clearly on some sort of caffeine high which was probably true because he was holding a large cup of coffee that clearly wasn't his first "I just thought you would take cherries as a better apology than just a sorry." Joseph said kindly, hoping to be let into the house soon because he was getting uncomfortable, standing in the rain and all. Mason managed to put on his fake-looking smile and nodded shakily "Th-thanks." He said before stepping out of the way, letting Joseph speed inside and sigh as he was surrounded with warm air. Mason laughed and set his lavender coloured mug on the counter "S-s-so..." He said as he constantly fidgeted with a small string "So..?" Joseph asked awkwardly "W-w-wanna wat-watch a m-m-movie?" Mason asked, getting a quick nod from Joseph "Yea! Horror movie!" He said happily and Mason laughed a little before plopping onto the couch that was covered in crumbled up paper balls, pencils, pens, and other drawing stuff. Mason turned on the tv and scrolled through movies, probably searching for a it'll-give-you-nightmares-for-weeks movie. Joseph cleared off a small part of the couch and sat down, pulling his legs up to his chest and watching as Mason scrolled through the movies before he gasped, causing Mason to stop "That one! That's a great horror movie from what I've heard!" Joseph said happily as he pointed towards one called 'IT'. Mason just stared at Joseph for a moment "Yo-you know that's the original one right?" He asked and Joseph nodded quickly "That's what makes it so good! It's old-school and really gory!" He said, throwing his hands up in joy. Mason just smiled, shook his head slowly, and started the movie. The two watched it, Joseph getting terrified by it while Mason managed to watch it with a blank face, only jumping a little when something scary happened. At the end, the two were huddled up together, Joseph on edge and would probably die if a fly landed on him. Mason seemed perfectly fine, smiling smugly and blushing a little bit as he held onto Joseph as if to protect him from anything that could scare him "I guess this means we've made up?" Mason asked and Joseph just nodded a little "Y-yea.." He said, his voice just a whimper and Mason laughed "You can stay here tonight. I've got a spare room for the scaredy cat." He said, laughing a little before picking up Joseph and taking him to the spare room "And no, you can't sleep in my bed." He joked before closing the door to the room and leaving Joseph to just pass out despite his paranoia. Mason just flopped onto his bed and slowly fell asleep, smiling to himself.
