Chapter 12

Sucres POV:

I walked in Michaels room and saw Alex backing away from him. "What's going on?" Michael looked at me.

"I don't know." I looked at Alex. "que pasa?" (What's wrong.) she looked at me. "me gritó de nuevo." (He yelled at me again.)

I looked at Michael. "You yelled at her?" He nodded. "She wouldn't tell me anything." "No quería decirle todavía!" (I didn't want to tell him yet.)

"She didn't want to tell you yet!" He walked out of the room and left Alex in the corner. I walked towards her.

" I can't do this anymore Sucre. I want to end it all." She was crying. I went behind her and tried to calm her down.

It didn't work. She stood up and went out of the room. She looked at Michael. "I'm done fighting the system."

She tried to head towards the door but Michael stopped her. "Your not going back there." He said.

She looked at him. "Why?" "You'll be put on death row again." "So. At least I'll be free of the pain."

She got her arm out of his grip and walked out the door. "She's going to get herself killed."

We all looked at the door and abruzzi went and looked out. "She's just sitting in the snow."

Your POV:

I just sat in the snow. I don't care anymore. I may be freezing but I'll stay here as long as I can.

I heard the door open. "Alex get up and get inside." Michael said. "What do you care?" He left and someone else came out.

"Michael really cares about you Alex." Lincoln. "If he did he wouldn't have yelled at me." I said flatly.

"He did that cause he wants to know your okay." I looked at the ground. "I used to get yelled at by my dad."

I looked at my hands. "He would yell at me because of the things I did. I can't stand people yelling anymore."

I brought my knees to my chest. I heard someone coming towards me but didn't make an effort to move.

They placed their arm over my shoulder and brought me to their chest. "I didn't know that happened." Michael said.

I nodded. I've been torn all my life. Maybe now someone will fix me.
