a few weeks had passed since the night jimin sang yoongi to sleep, and that was their latest conversation that they had. jimin had seriously no idea where yoongi was, or what he was doing. he attempted to ask his best friend and yoongi's roommate, taehyung, but failed to do so. something felt empty inside jimin's heart and he didn't know what to do.

another day at work, and another day without him. jimin thought and sighed before wearing his apron inside the staff room before he starts his usual job. normal people may think his job was boring because it was repetitive, but jimin actually loved to communicate with new faces and discover their lives. he started becoming observant with each customer they had and basically he was the happy pill in the cafe.

right now, it wasn't a good day for him but pretended that it was just for the people around him. he did not want to disappoint people and ruin the good spirit of the cafe, so he continued to put a smile on his face and do his work, even though his eyes told the exact opposite. jimin remained focused and diligent on his job despite his mind full of clouded thoughts about one guy.

when things started to wind down in the cafe, jimin let out a deep sigh and slumped into a chair on one of the tables after cleaning the entire place. finally, he was done pretending to be happy. he placed the towel on the table and took out the phone from his pocket. he has received nothing from yoongi, and he hasn't even posted a random picture on instagram for weeks. i wonder, jimin thought and decided to text yoongi.

to: yoongi hyung

hello, hyung! how are you? :)

before he could send the message, he thought deeply about it and slowly erased everything. he turned his phone off and sighed. i shouldn't pry, maybe he was just busy. jimin stood up and returned to the staff room to go change before leaving for his shift was about to end.

"jimin? are you there?" namjoon's voice was heard outside the door.

"yes, hyung. come in," jimin replied for he was just fixing his bag and looking for something to wear first.

the door slowly opened and namjoon entered the room with an envelope on his hand. he sat beside jimin and handed him the envelope. "here, today's your pay day. i thought you might need it as soon as possible."

jimin hesitatingly took the envelope and opened it, revealing a quite huge amount of money inside. his eyes widened and turned to namjoon. "hyung, you shouldn't have"

"yes, i should. you deserve it, jimin. plus, i decided to give you a week and a half of break because i don't want you to be stressed with college."

the younger felt very touched at namjoon's words, and he didn't reply anything but hugged him as a sign of gratitude. "thank you, hyung. so, so much. you're the best!"

he heard him chuckle and responded  back on jimin's hug. "it's the least i can do." both of them broke the hug and namjoon smiled at him before leaving the room to close down the cafe.

wearing a simple black and red striped top with sleeves just above the elbow tucked in classy black trousers, maroon beanie and a pair of loafers, he grabbed his backpack and waved goodbye to namjoon, renjun and jaemin as he opened the door and left. checking the time on his phone, it was almost dinnertime and he felt a bit hungry so he casually stopped by a fast food chain to buy food. later, he paid for the food and ate it on the way home.
