Dear J,
It's been quite sometime now that I've liked you. I don't exactly remember all the details, but I do remember that it all started back in Math. Mrs. B put us on the same table and I had to sit with you and your friends, Liam and Mason. I hated it, especially because I was the only girl at the table.
Never in a million years would I've imagined that I'd grow fond of you. At first, I thought you were a jerk. From what I'd heard, you and your friends constantly insulted and jostled each other around. Heck, you nearly got into a fight. To me, you gave off a "bad boy" vibe.
But I was wrong; I was too quick to judge.
You were funny, smart, sweet and I guess patient, something I didn't expect, whenever you tried talking to me. After finding out who you really were, I began to harbor feelings for you.
And even though I'd wanted nothing to do with you at first, you were persistent on trying to talk to me, which I had no idea why. When we eventually conversed, my mind always annoyingly went blank, and I couldn't think of a reply when I desperately wanted the conversation to continue.
When I'd turn to talk or vise versa, I'd slip into a trance from your deep, dark brown, almost black, eyes. They were a bit intimidating, but not so much anymore. In my opinion, the dark hue made you seem mysterious, hiding a guy who was good-hearted on the inside but didn't show it often.
One day, I even caught you staring at me. I pretended not to notice when in reality, I couldn't concentrate. I felt slightly uncomfortable under your gaze, yet my heart began to accelerate.
When we had class together, I'd feel bittersweet. A stupid smile was glued to my face as I traveled the halls, heart palpitating. I would grumble and tell myself, "Why is this happening to me? Why do I feel like this?"
I thought we could eventually become something, but the school year had come to an end, and I moved to another school, gloomily saying goodbye to the possibility of ever becoming someone special to you.
By now, I thought I'd be over you, but I'm not. In fact, I don't really even know what I'm feeling, to be honest.
To this day, you're still unaware of my feelings, and frankly, you'll never find out any time soon. I'd confess if I was courageous, but unfortunately, that's not who I am.
I don't feel quite ready for closure yet, but I know it'll come when the time is right. I just needed to get this off my chest, thinking that this could help me figure out my feelings. And hopefully, it does in due time.
But for now, I'll just admire from afar, hoping things will change in the future and that I'll become someone special to you.
From,
K
