(Ashley's p.o.v.)
Waking up to a flash I fall out of bed. My dad is holding a camera. "Dad!" I shout in excitement jumping up and into his arms. He chuckles wrapping his arms around my waiste. "Happy birthday baby girl. I can't believe my little girl is 16 today." He mumbles in my hair, kissing my cheek.
"Dad.." I drag out, smiling at him, and kissing his cheek. "What? You'll always be my little girl." He stated matter of factly. "I love you." I said hugging him tighter. "I love you to baby." He replies pulling away.
"Alright. Time to get ready. I'll go feed Pongo and Bruce, you go shower and dressed." He instructed talking about my dogs he got me when I was ten and twelve. "Ok, thanks dad." I reply and head to my bathroom.
When I enter the bathroom I turn the water on for the shower as hot as possible and get in.
After washing my hair and body I get out and dry off before going into my closet.
Looking through my dresses I find the perfect little red dress. It is a thigh length dress with little layers and the shoulders have lace and little white flowers sporadically put on them. I love it.
I put the dress on after doing my hair and light eye makeup. I only wear makeup on special occasions because I believe in natural beauty.
Walking down the hall to the living room I spot my dad cooking my favorite breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and biscuits.
"Hey dad." I greet taking an apple from our fruit bowl. My dad gives me a disapproving look. I smile cheekily. "My birthday." I sing song and finish the apple.
My dad is a chef. He has multiple restaurants around the world. Mostly the United states and England.
As of next week we'll have about 80 restaurants. We're opening one in our town and he says I can manage the restaurant. I'm really excited.
Placing a plate in front of me I mumble a 'thank you.' Before starting to eat.
After we finish breakfast we start decorating for my party. The only people that are coming are my grandma and my friends Dominick, Dayton, Dakota, Caroline, Brandi, Courtney, Seth, Katelyn, Jennifer, Brayden (a girl), Jason, Monique, Tyler, Cayden, and hayley. And Katelyn is bringing her cousin Sara who I have not yet met.
When we finish decorating we sit down on the couch when theres a knock on the front door. I get up and open the door to see my grandma. "Hi grandma!" I smile hugging her. "Hey baby." She answers coming in and sitting on the couch by my dad.
"You look gorgeous." She compliments. I smile, looking down at my dress in awe. "Thanks grandma." I reply and sit down in the recliner.
We keep talking until there is another knock on the door. I answer it and let all my friends in. "Hey guys." I greet with a smile.
Theres a girl I do not recognize and assume its Sara, Katelyns cousin. I let them in and walk around hugging everybody. After a little bit of talking to Dom, Katelyn drags over her cousin. "Ashley this is Sara, Sara this is Ashley." She introduces. "Its nice to meet you." I state. "You too." She replies.
Sara is on the smaller side with being five foot nothing at max, short blonde curly hair, blue eyes that hide behind her square framed glasses.
She's very pretty with her blue dress and strappy sandals. I smile at her and talk to her and Katelyn for a while to get to know her.
"Guys, present time." Dom announces to the room. "Guys I told you no presents." I complain. "To bad get your little butt over here." Cayden demands pulling out a chair and having me sit in it.
When I am sitting Pongo and Bruce jump into my lap. I giggle and pet them before Jason takes them from me and shoos them away. I roll my eyes at him and am handed a little bag from Monique.
I open the bag and it's a friendship bracelet she makes every year. This year its red and black.
I put it on and hug her. "Thank you." I smile at her sitting back down. "You're welcome." She replies with a smile of her own. Jennifer and Katelyn hand me theirs at the same time and I open them. Katelyn got me a shirt with a picture of us on it and I laugh. "I love you." I say still giggling. Jennifer gave me a necklace with a sapphire crystal. I gasp at it when I first see it. "Jenny, thank you. You didn't have to. I love it!" I exclaim having her put it on me. "It was no problem. I'm glad you like it." She smiles hugging me.
When I finish opening all of the gifts my friends got me, my dad hands me a card. I open it and it has a note inside. Opening the note I read it.
'Happy birthday princess. I love you and hope you have a good birthday.
I know you have a lot of questions for me but they will be answered soon.

Mom.'
I snap my head over to my dad and whisper. "Mom?" Tears flowing down my cheeks. I haven't seen her in eleven years why is she just now sending me a note? I wonder.
"Yes babe. She and I have a suprise for you. Come on outside for a minute." He says smiling real big. I frown and go outside with him.
Once we get outside I gasp at what I see. It's a 2016 cobalt blue convertible mustang. "Oh my God DAD!!" I scream jumping up and down hugging my dad.
"He's not the only one who bought it for you." I hear a woman from behind me. I smile and throw my arms around her. "Hey mom." I smile hugging her tighter.
"Theres something else as well." My dad interrupts our hug. I pull away and look at him. "I am taking a few days off of work and your mom is here for the week." I scream hugging them both. "I love you guys!!" I squeal.
They laugh and we go back inside with everybody. Brayden, Tyler, and hayley carry a cake with a picture of me out from the kitchen. "You made it for me?" I asked looking at me dad. "You know it." He replies.
Dom cuts everybody a piece. After singing happy birthday we eat the cake.
When everybody finishes their cake they leave. "Bye thank you for coming!!" I say hugging all of them.
My dad makes hamburgers and fries for everybody and for the rest of the night we watch movies.
I go to bed with a smile splitting my face in half.
