Barty Crouch Jr. managed to escape Hogwarts and was walking around Hogsmeade. He didn't need classes, he didn't need the stupid professors; he was too smart for them. At least he thought so. His scarf was wrapped tightly around his neck; his tongue flicking out, almost snake-like, and licking his lips every once in a while. He took out his wand - yew, 13 inch, dragon heartstring core, spiral shaft - and reached in his back pocket for a piece of bread he'd snatched from breakfast at the Great Hall. Seeing a black squirrel in the distance, which wasn't really hard to find since all the ground was covered in snow, he crouched down a ripped off a tiny piece of bread and held it out if front of him.

"Here squirrely, squirrely…" he whispered.

His tongue flicked out and licked his lips again. He smiled maliciously as the squirrel approached him, took the food and began to nibble on it hungrily. His grin widened, spreading from ear to ear.

"There we go…" He stood up and snickered, pointing his wand at the oblivious squirrel.

"Avada Kedavra!"

The squirrel flopped over on its side, life-less. He laughed; mesmerized at the shot of green light his wand had produced. He felt a shot of pleasure through his core; the feeling of power. He'd never experienced anything like it, but hell, he loved it. He placed his wand back in his pocket and started heading back towards Hogwarts, flicking out his tongue and tasting the air. He was going to have fun tonight.
