Isabella

I looked at the wall clock to check the time, it was already 6:00pm. I stretched my arms and gather my things on the desk. I strolled down the well designed corridor of my floor towards the elevator, when I saw my two little monsters running towards me.

A smile stretched across my face when I saw my bundles of joy run towards me. There's is no day I reagret ever having them.

I knelt to the floor the moment they crashed into me tackling me with hugs and kisses.l put my arms around there bodies hugging my babies.

"Mommy mommy"called out my twins Dante and Arabella.

I looked up to Kendra my best friend when she says" I'm sorry I had to bring them here, David called me and I had to meet up with him. I'm really sorry I couldn't take care of them".

"It's okay ken, really" I said while standing up holding the twins hand.

"Okay see you later, and see you later little monsters she said kissing there foreheads.

I got into the elevator with the twins, the twins were playing trying to reach the elevator button. I couldn't help but stare at them, they are an exact replica of their father. They had his thick brown hair, beautiful tan skin, grey hazel eyes and long thick eye lashes.

I really miss Vincenzo, it's been 4 years since I've seen him. I really do miss him but I don't reagret living him for the safety of my children.

I know he would have moved on to another woman by now, someone more beautiful and better than me.

I was pulled out of my trance by Arabella.

"Mommy, I want ice cream?" Arabella asked pointing to an ice cream shop across the street, Dante also nods his head pointing towards the ice cream shop.

"On let's go get ice cream" I held there hands tightly while crossing the street. We got to the front table.

Welcome to Honey Sweet ice cream, what may I get you" the guy at the front table said.

"I want cwhocola ice cream and spwinkles" Dante said.

"I want valina ice cream pwease" Arabella said pointing to a poster of valina ice cream.

"And I will have ore ice cream please" I smiled at the guy who went to get the ice cream. We took a seat by the window so the kids could admire the cars passing.

The twins were telling me about there day when someone walked into the shop. I didn't bother looking in that direction so I continued on using my phone while listening to my kids but that was a big mistake because I looked up to the front table and my eyes widened at who I saw.

Leonardo was standing at the front table with a little boy in his arms.

Leonardo is Vincenzo's second on command. I liked Leonardo, he was nice, charming,friendly, he was such a fun person, someone I could look to when in trouble and in a fowl mood.

I tried my best to not draw attention to myself but it was hard with the twins laughing loudly.

I couldn't live now because firstly the twins are so exited and secondly because if I drag them out they will throw tantrums which will draw attention to us.

So I just stay put hoping he doesn't see me but luck wasn't on my side.

"Isabella?" I heard a husky thick accented voice say from behind me, I knew it will be no one else but Leonardo.

"Leonardo...hey, long time" I said Tring my best to not show how nervous I am.

"Yeah it has...is it okay to seat here he pointed to the seats across me.

"Yes, yes you can" he sat down on the seat and put the baby he was holding on the other. He stares at me then at the twins, the back at me and raised an eyebrow.

"We've not seen each other in 4 years and now that we have meet we both have kids shower, yes" he smiled looking at my kids." I remember when we talked about having kids at least at 30" he spoke first breaking the silence.

"Yeah" I let out a small chuckle. "what's the name of this little man".

Before he could answer the question the waiter served our orders.

"This little man right here is Fico. Natalie and I got married after so long and we had this little man 3 years ago" he said wiping ice cream off his sons face. Fico just looked up and smiled.

"He is so cute, I-" I was cut off by Leonardo.

"Izze, Vinco misses you so much, he hasn't been the same since you left. He was in a bad place after you ran away, he turned to alcohol, drugs to suppress his sadness and anger. He was a broken man" he said gazing into my eyes, I could see the sadness in is eyes.

He looked towards the twin who were playing with their ice cream and said" are they his kids?"

I just nodded not able to speak.

"You know I have to tell him right" I just nod my head.

He receives a message on his phone, pulling it out of his pocket he read it and his face immideately turns hard.

"I have to go" he picked up his son from Isabella's lap which she pouts and Crosses her hand in protest.

He came across the the pecked my cheeks and waved the twins good bye.

We finished the ice cream and headed home.

That night I dreamt of Vincenzo.
