He was bright, colourful,
Some might describe him as the walking sun.

He wore a big round glasses, but he's not
Even partially blind.
He said that "he liked it on him".

His name is Elliot Mckenna,
You'll find him often saying that he hates his name because it sounds like a girl.

But enough about our Romeo,
Let's talk about our Juliet.

She's as dark as the night, so fierce and fearless,
Some might say that she's a an angelic demon.

She would fight for her rights, Hell, that's why some people fear her.

But don't let that little charade she puts on
Fool you,
Fore she is the most sweetest human being
That has ever existed.

And her name is Adelyn Rodney.

This is their love story.
They met through the internet, sigh, a modern love story, huh?
For some reason, both of them thinks that fate had brought them together... Well mostly, Elliot.

Ever since they had followed each other on Instagram, they had exchanged addresses, emails and of course, phone numbers.

The reason why they had exchanged addresses is because Elliot think that it would be romantic for them to give letters instead of using modern technology. But, of course Elliot didnt say that, instead he covered it up with the classic "I need a break from technologies".

And oh, did I mention that Elliot insisted on using their made-up names that he had came up for them? He said that his name can be the  sun because he's as cheerful and bright as anyone can get while Adelyn is the moon because her personality is so dark but yet you can see the bits of soft parts in here.

As so, Adelyn was struck by his adorable attitude that she just had to follow through.

Letter #1, Sept. 12th 2019.
"Dear Moon,

I am writing this letter to you, to let you know how lucky I am to have you as a friend.
My dear, I am forever in awed of your existence.

But other than that, I am writing this to ask you, how have you been doing? I hope you are doing ridiculously good. I care about nothing but your health, my dear. Be it, mentally or physically.

Also as a thank you for accepting my ridiculous requests, I taped this flower for you. It might wilt as soon as you're holding this letter, but you shan't forget that our bond is far much greater than a wilted flower.

Sincerely,
The sun."

A week or two after Elliot had sent out that letter, Adelyn had already has it her hands on them.

She was smiling as if she had just entered the candy store when she was a kid! She couldn't wait any longer so she rips the envelope apart and gently unfold the letter.

She read every single one of the paragraphs. She was heads over heels. No one had written her a letter or even ask her how is she been doing! She couldn't wait any longer to hear more from Elliot soon so she decided that it's best if she writes her response to Elliot sooner.

As she was about to pick her fluffy dark purple coloured pen, there was a knock on the door. She quickly grabs the letter and hides it under her thousands of pillows.
As soon as she's done hiding it, she head over to the door where she can see her step-mother stood still with arms crossed.

"What are you doing?" Her stepmother whose name is Helena Rodney asked her with a curious voice. Adelyn responded "I was just doing my homework, Helena. There's nothing that you should be worried about." Helena nodded and said "Dinner is ready & I thought that you'd might like to join tonight,"

It's not that Helena is a bad step-mother, she can be a little bit handful at times.
Helena had recently took Adelyn's father's last name so Adelyn is still a little uncomfortable with her dad's mistress walking around the house.

Adelyn struggled to say a word and thus Helena sighs and sadly said "It's fine if you don't want to, sweetheart. I understand if you're still uncomfortable with me."
Not going to lie, Adelyn felt like her heart broke a little when she saw her new mother was rejected.

As soon as Helena went down the stairs, Adelyn locked the door and bolted to her desk with the letter. She held the pen and her heart did the rest.

Letter #2, Sept. 23 2019.
"Dear Sun,

You do not know how thrill I am to received your letter and your adorable wilted flowers.
Since you had asked, yes, I am doing quite fine.

Struggling,
But fine.

But that's not the point, as far as I know writing these letters means you gotta fill it with what happened in your daily life, week or month, right? I guess this one can be in our very letter.

Recently, my father had just married someone and I'm not quite sure if I know how that makes me feel. Do not get me wrong, Sun. I am forever happy for him but I missed my mum.

I wished she coulda stayed a little longer to see me grow up but alas it was not meant to be that way.

Fore the One above had much greater plans for my being. That is about it, apologies if my letter is short.

I cannot wait to hear from you very soon. xo

Yours truly,
The moon."
