I need you

~Shawn's POV~

I let out a short breath as I sat on the bed, running my hand through my hair.

"My parents don't want this, Shawn."

I looked up at her, only to immediately direct my eyes back towards the ground.

She looked so broken. My love, hurt and constantly living in fear because of me.

"I just- I need you- I- please don't leave me" I choked out, immediately regretting it.

Her parents will stop at nothing to keep us apart, even if it means  she's unhappy.

"I don't think I have a choice anymore. I can't let you get attached to me, Shawn. Only bad things will come from us being together "

I took a moment, processing her words and she was right, she always was. But I don't care if her family hates me. I don't care what they do to me. As long as I'm with her it's all I need.

"Wait, please don't go. We can figure this out." I pleaded, standing up and grabbing her hand.

She opened the door and walked away, not looking back.

I quickly followed her, begging for her to stay with me.

She unlocked  her car, shivering from the cold.

She ignored me, driving away.

"I love you" I whispered, my words quickly seeming like the victim of the night.
