I was paising back in forth down the aisle. One things for sure is that time is not by my side.

Vi is 17 now. Soon she'll find out. It isn't possible to keep the secret away. I've been on edge since before her birthday last month .The Silan was calling and soon they'll take her.

"Excuse me umm.. "the old lady read my name tag . "Hunt , do you guys sell small wrenches ". The lady looked to be maybe in her 60's. Why was she looking for a wrench?

"Yes , if you look on aisle 7 you'll find them " I pointed in the direction of the aisle.

"Thank you kindly. " she replied.

I walked the opposite direction trying to clear my thoughts. I clocked out and grabbed my things. I looked at my watched. 4:35 . Vi get off of work at 4:00 . I don't want to leave her home by herself any longer than I had to.

Last night she nearly gave me a heart attack when I walked in her room. It didn't cross my mind that she could simply be at that boy's house. I automatically thought of the worst.

Surely if the Silan had taken her they wouldn't of took her car too. The Silan wasn't the only thing taking a toll on me. It was the sight of that blood on the side of her mouth.

I loved Vi like my own daughter. I knew when she was lying . If I find out that boy was putting his hands on her. I'll end him myself.

Maybe she wasn't with Dylan. I felt I was being to harsh on her. I didn't want her to remember me as some mean wannabe-dad. I want her to remember the good. For we don't have much time together.

Soon the Silan will come to claim her. I have to protect her on all causes. Even if it will be the death of me. I promised her mother I would.

And I've always kept my promises.

I got into my car taking the short cut home.
