When I got home, I continued to listen to my music. By now, Doubt by Twenty One Pilots was playing.

I went straight to my room to change out of my ball game clothes. I put on my favorite black and neon yellow sweatpants and my black and white Adidas sweatshirt. My sweatshirt made me think of the song 'sweatshirt ' by Jacob Sartorious. I couldn't help but think I of a new name for him; "JOHN KID STEGOSAURUS GOT FAMOUS FOR GIVING A GIRL HIS SWEATSHIRT AND SINGING ABOUT IT!" I thought to myself. I burst out laughing as I heard my mom and step dad-Scott-go to their room for bed. I plopped down on my bed as I starred at my mint green walls. I looked down at my black comforter and sighed. I lied back on my bed as I opened my iPhone with my thumb. I decided used to get on Snapchat and talk to my friends from school and tell them about how the game was.

Me: MR. ABATE WAS AT THE GAME!!!

Mallorie: Really?! How was the game? Who won? Did your parents meet Mr. Abate?

Me: Yes, really. The game was great. The Jumbo Shrimp won. And yes, my parents met him. They all like him. Scott accepts him, too! Crazy, right?

Mallorie: SCOTT ACCEPTS?!? HE NEVER DOES THAT! IT TOOK HIM MONTHS TO ACCEPT OUR FRIENDSHIP. THAT IS SOOOOO CRAZ-BALLS!

As I read the last bit of her message, I couldn't help but laugh. She is so funny, sometimes.

Me: I think we're dating. I can't remember anything correctly. It's like I have amnesia but all I remember is that he was at the game and everybody accepted him. Monday is going to be so weird in his class. And thanks to you, everybody is going to be laughing at me!

Mallorie: Sorry, not sorry! I have to go, mom wants me to clean up the house so her boyfriend can come over. Tell everyone I say hi!

I closed out of Snapchat to get on Instagram. I checked my notifications and my new followers. I had four new followers. Three of them were kids I had seen around school. The other one was Mr. Abate. Is he actually following me on Instagram? Oh my gosh, he really is! I thought to myself. Just then, my dog, Bella, ran into my room, then I heard thunder. Uh-oh. "Come here, Bella. Hey up here with me," I said as she leaped into my bed. I scooted over so she could have her normal spot; the side of my bed against the wall.

It started raining a few minutes later, and Bella was so scared she started whimpering and shaking. I pet her head to calm her down and rubbed behind her ears. Almost instantly she stopped shaking and whimpering and started licking her nose. She got up and walked closer to me as she walked in a circle and laid down. I pulled the blanket out from under the dog and covered her up with it. It always makes her feel better. I got under the blanket and covered up to change the playing song to "Polarize" by Twenty One Pilots. I closed my eyes just to relax and listen to my music as I pulled out one earned to hear the rain pouring and Bella sleeping. I put my earbud in and opened my eyes. Thankfully, my bedroom light was off because I didn't feel like getting up to walk across my room to turn the light off. My bedroom door was open which didn't bother me because any second now, my Siamese cats, Teddy and Mojo, would be walking to come and cuddle up to me and the the dog.

About 10 minutes later, the cats came padding into my room with huge pupils. I laughed to myself as the song changed to "Message Man" by Twenty One Pilots. The cats stopped at my bed and jumped on to cuddle with Bella and I. I honestly kind of wish Mr. Abate was here. He makes me happy. I seriously can't remember anything that happened at the game. Maybe I was just living in the moment and not think about anything going on. Maybe I'm not supposed to remember anything that happened. Maybe it wasn't meant to happen. I thought to myself. I turned off my phone and continued to listen to my music as I started fiddling with the edge of my black blanket. I was comfy, and now warm. I turned on my phone to check the time. My phone read it was 8:27 at night. Wonderful. Why is it so early? I thought to myself sarcastically.

I was coloring a picture on my phone when I heard-over my music playing-an engine rev outside before shutting off. I rolled of my bed and went straight for the front door. I opened the front door expecting a pizza delivery guy because normally we order pizza really late just to see rain pouring. When I didn't see anyone,I pulled my hood on and I walked outside into the rain and ran to the side of the house only to see Mr. Abate's red Ford sportscar. What's he doing here? I thought to myself. I walked up to his window and tapped on the wet glass.  He was texting someone when I accidentally scared him. "Avery, you scared me. Wh-what are you doing here?" He asked nervously, as some rain droplets fell into his face. I chuckled quietly at his nervousness. "Um, Mr. Abate, I live here," I said as I bent down to rest my arms on his windowsill, pulling my head out of the rain. " Oh, right. I, uh, I knew that, " he said as he forced a laugh out. "Come on. Let's go inside, " I said as I pulled on the door handle. He climbed out and shut the door as we ran to the door and he followed me inside to my bedroom.
